where to go now: Euro2020 at Boxpark

To celebrate #Euro2020 and to kick off this summer’s most anticipated football tournament, BOXPARK, London’s spiritual home for live football screenings, will be giving fans the chance to imitate some of their favourite football heroes by getting a choice of iconic hairstyles, inspired by the world-famous players.

BOXPARK’s exclusive Euro-themed Haircut Menu will feature iconic haircuts in football history. If you’re looking for something to really show off, unleash your wild side with Pogba’s leopard print look or show your patriotic side with Perisic’s red and white checkerboard. Show your support for the three lions and pay homage to David Beckham’s infamous mohawk or opt for Gazza’s bleach skin-fade from ‘96.

BarberSmiths at BOXPARK Shoreditch and The Barber Club at BOXPARK Croydon will be offering a free Euro 2020 barber service with limited slots for football fans to recreate these iconic looks. Available on a first come first served basis, appointments can be booked online here and will only be available for Euro ticket holders on England match days*. No walk-ins will be permitted.

#EURO2020 Haircut Menu

The patriotic one (Perisic’s Checkerboard)

Perisic’s famous haircut was inspired by his team’s kit. Be brave with a red and white checkerboard style blended into the back and sides of your hair.

The wild one (Pogba’s Leopard Print)

Unleash your wild side with Pogba’s iconic leopard print inspired cut, with the fashionable spots on the back and sides and a blonde tipped mohawk on top.

The lions stripe (Beckham’s Mohawk)

Channel your inner Beckham with a short back and sides and a spiked up lion-style centre strip.

The Euro ‘96 vibe (Gazza’s Bleach Skin-Fade)

Get your Gazza look on for the summer tournament and pay tribute to the England legend  Gascoigne with a full bleach and skin-fade style.

Justin Carr, England’s unofficial barber and Founder of That Feeling, comments on how influential footballers are when it comes to haircuts: “Football has always had an impact on culture and often players set trends on what’s the next style of trims even if some may question their style. There have been some great trims on the pitch from the likes of Pogba who came out with expressive pattern haircuts and kids used to come in my shop asking for similar haircuts during their school holidays. But there has also been other moments where haircuts have been a little different such as when I did a cut and colour on William Ekong’s hair and coloured it green to represent his Nigerian country, and it created conversation and went on to be voted The People’s Magazine #2 most fashionable hairstyles of the Russia World Cup 2018.”

But it’s not just funky haircuts on the menu. BOXPARK has also got you covered with a host of Euro-themed food and drink options delivered straight to your table, even during that tense penalty shootout. At Shoreditch, indulge in Black Bear Burger’s Mac n Cheese Balls topped with Beef Brisket or Rainbo’s tasty Tonkatsu Chicken Burger for only a fiver. Head to Croydon for Big Mike’s ‘Eurostacker’ with Caribbean spiced sausage, beef patty, a slice of peppered belly pork, a leg of jerk chicken – all in one serving doused with lashings of Big Mike’s Jerk & Twerk sauce, or Eat Lah’s Malaysian-style Satay Chicken Skewers & Fries. Punters in Wembley can tuck into Ipanema Barbecue’s Brazilian Street Dog or treat themselves to a ‘F’Euro Cheesecake with Vanilla Wippy at The Dessert Factory. Wash everything down with a refreshing selection of beer and cocktails from the BOXPARK bars.

Soak up a summer festival of football and make BOXPARK the go-to place to cheer on your favourite team, with live screenings of the Euro 2020 games at its three London venues in Shoreditch, Croydon and Wembley**. Tickets are available for all screenings here: boxpark.co.uk/euro2020.
