Desperados announced the next phase of its epic Rave to Save party series, which has already seen over 5 million dance steps taken by partygoers to raise more than €55,000 in support of nightclubs that have been impacted by the pandemic.
Rave to Save invites partygoers to come together and turn their moves into cash via an innovative dance-powered app. Fronted by world class DJs including the likes of Purple Disco Machine, Nakadia, Anja Schneider, Pan-Pot, Alle Farben and MOGUAI, four epic virtual parties have already taken place at clubs in Germany – Prince Charles and Cassiopeia in Berlin, Hamburg’s Halo Club and Reineke Fuchs in Cologne.
The next stage of the series will see more virtual parties take place in more locations across Europe – beginning at London’s Tobacco Dock on Saturday 8th May 2021 in collaboration with elrow – giving even more partygoers the chance to dance, donate and make a difference together. Desperados is even upping the Rave to Save app’s fundraising function for the next run of shows, with €1 now raised for every 100, rather than 1000, dance steps taken.
Available to download now via the App Store and Google Play, the Rave to Save app uses smartphone technology to track partygoers’ moves as they dance to epic beats on their home dancefloor, with all parties hosted in collaboration with elrow and livestreamed via Beatport’s Facebook and YouTube channels. App users can also boost how much they contribute by making a direct donation to venues that host the parties.
Rave to Save is the latest wild experiment in a series of innovative experiences and activations taking place in 2021 as part of Desperados’ new creative platform, Go Desperados. In embracing its spirit of playful experimentation, Go Desperados captures the essence of the brand – a beer that goes beyond the obvious, for people that do the same.
