After shooting to fame on YouTube in 2015, Chunkz’s career has soared and he has achieved in music, cooking, presenting as well as a variety of brand partnerships. He is currently working with JD Sports, where shoppers can win the prize of Chunkz being their personal shopper to help kit them out in the latest JD exclusive products! We caught up with him to chat career, style and trainers….
What would you say is your best career moment so far?
I’d say my best career moment would be – not related to my actual career but what’s it done for me – and that would be making sure that my mum and dad can rely on me financially for anything. Growing up, we didn’t have much money so it’s cool that I can kinda do whatever it is that they need and want. That’s probably the biggest accomplishment I ever have done and ever will do.
How would you describe your style?
I would say my style is very minimal. I don’t like to go risky with the colours. I’m kind of just a black Nike Tech Fleece or a black woven set as well. I like my Nike Air Force 1’s, I’ve made that very public so yeah, I’d say minimal if I was to describe my style in one word. Those are the kinds of clothes that I love to wear.
What is your go-to brand of trainers?
Go-to brand would be Nike and trainer, the Air Max – whether that be the 90, the 95, or the Air Force 1. It’s out of those three, they’ve just been classics for ages, so I love to swap them around and wear different ones depending on my fit.
You have to make an outfit using only JD exclusives. What are you picking?
Based off me saying I’m minimal, I have to pick the Nike Air Max Woven Jacket and the Nike Air Max Woven Cargo Track Pants in Black and probably some Nike Air Max 95’s to match. Like I told you, I’m very minimal so I don’t like to go outside the box.
What’s coming up for you next?
More content with JD definitely. I’ve got another episode of Masked Rapper, which is a very good one, and also hopefully some more content on JD football club – just filmed something there which is very cool. And yeah, just my own content with my friends and a podcast, and many more things. It’s just content galore basically!
