For something extra special this Christmas, The Nutcracker Noir will be transforming Protein Studios in Shoreditch into a lavish festive playground between 25th November and 21st December – where theatre, music, and immersive dining will come together in a world-class production.
The experience will deliver a journey through a series of interactive spaces, encountering captivating characters and hidden surprises before settling in for a multi-sensory performance and five-course feast.
This take on the festive favourite leans into the darker undercurrents of the original tale, exchanging sugar-plum sweetness for something moodier and more seductive. Guests will step into Clara’s dreamworld, moving through five intricately crafted rooms, each brimming with curious characters, hidden surprises, and playful mischief that builds anticipation for the main event.
The production brings together an accomplished creative team of Richard Crawford (SE7EN, The Great Gatsby) as co-director and immersive designer, Gary Lloyd (Thriller Live, Heathers) as co-director and choreographer, and the visionary studio DesignScene (Amazon, MGM Studios, Pinterest) alongside Secret Theatre, renowned for their immersive experiences. The universe they have created together brings together the most impressive elements of their work, for a polished, professional, and enthralling experience from the moment guests arrive at the Merry & More Mart to the final flourish in Club Noir.
A decadent, multi-sensory meal has been curated by immersive dining specialist Jenny McNeill of Feast & Fable (previously Gingerline and Fat Duck), serving up a menu that balances traditional and contemporary. It begins with Brick Lane butter and Sourdough, followed by starters of a Treacle-Glazed take and a Nori & Brown Sugar take on Chalk Stream Trout. The main course features Slowbraised Beef Cheek with smoky BBQ reduction, parmesan and crème fraîche grit along with sides, and dessert delights with La Recette Perdue, a Basque cheesecake with Spanish brandy, orange, and vanilla-soused prunes with a sugar plum coulis. Signature cocktails will also be available throughout, along with selection of wines and non-alcoholic beverages.

- VIP (£155 pp) – Priority entrance, full 5-course dinner, glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne at your table, and an extra secret room experience.
- Club (£115 pp) – Access to the show with full 5-course dinner.
