May The 4th Be With You! The best and worst of Star Wars

With the unofficial Star Wars national holiday ‘May the 4th be with you’, around the corner, new research reveals the best (& worst) Star Wars movies to binge on the occasion.
The study by Uswitch analysed combined scores from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic, along with box office revenue and profitability, to reveal the best (& worst) Star Wars movies.
Every Star Wars Movie Ranked
The original, Episode IV – A New Hope, is considered the best by fans, scoring 8.48 out of 10. The first film sees Princess Leia being abducted by the insidious Darth Vader, whilst Luke Skywalker teams up with a Jedi Knight to free her and save the galaxy from the violent Galactic Empire.
Following closely behind in second place is Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, scoring 8.05 out of 10. The 1980s film sees Darth Vader on a mission to turn Luke Skywalker to the dark side.
Ranking as the worst Star Wars movie is the most recent release (2019), Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (3.28/10). J.J. Abrams returned to complete the third Star Wars trilogy; the film follows the birth of new legends and the final battle commences.
