Supper Clubs and Pop-Ups at Falconhurst for Springtime Escape to Kent

Nothing says ‘Springtime reset’ like time away from the bustling Capital, and Falconhurst might be the perfect place to indulge in just that. Just under an hour from London and set within a working organic farm, the estate will be hosting a series of supper clubs and pop-ups, bringing together leading chefs and eateries from across the nation in a relaxed, open-air dining setting – and serving up a compelling reason to swap the city lights for the Kent countryside for just one day at a time.

The Barn at Falconhurst will host a line-up of chefs across the season, each taking over the space for a series of multi-course dinners. Evenings begin with a drink on arrival, with guests free to explore the grounds before sitting down to eat. Here is the schedule guests will be treated to in the coming months:

  • Avi Shashidhara (24th & 25th April): Making his Falconhurst debut, Avi Shashidhara brings a five-course Indian menu shaped by his southern Indian heritage and classical European training. With experience spanning The River Café, Hibiscus and Pahli Hill, his cooking carries both precision and depth, recently recognised with a winning dish on Great British Menu.
  • Freddie Southwell (8th & 9th May, and 18th & 19th September): A returning favourite, Freddie Southwell presents a seven-course tasting menu rooted in Asian influences. His menus draw heavily on seasonal produce from the estate, with a following that sees his events sell out year after year.
  • Kitchen 94 (16th to 18th October): Known for its live-fire cooking and bold, seasonal menus, Kitchen 94 returns for its third year. The weekend includes multi-course feasts alongside a Sunday roast, all shaped by a focus on fermentation, low waste and strong flavour combinations.
  • James Brun (23rd & 24th October): Back for a fourth year, James Brun builds on his experience at Kricket and Fenn, alongside recent travels across Rajasthan and Japan. His menus bring together Asian influences with a more personal, travel-led perspective.

Alongside the supper clubs, a rolling schedule of food pop-ups will introduce a more relaxed alternative to the season at Falconhurst, with the monthly additions running on the first weekend of each month from 12pm to 8:30pm. The food trucks taking over The Barn will serve everything from pizza and pasta to American-style BBQ, with confirmed names including Italy on Wheels, Kiek in de Kook and Ditch Brisket. Guests can eat inside or take their food outdoors, with tables set around the pond and across the grounds. The bar remains open throughout, pouring local beers, wines and soft drinks.

Falconhurst itself remains a working organic dairy farm, but has now expanded into a broader destination centred around food, community and the land. The estate includes a farm shop, gardens and The Barn, all open for visitors to explore. Produce is sourced directly from the farm and surrounding suppliers, reinforcing a close connection between the setting and what’s served. Family-run at its core, the space retains a sense of informality while delivering a carefully curated programme of events that attract regulars and Kent visitors alike.

You can visit Falconhurst at Markbeech, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 5NR. The exciting line-up for springtime and beyond can be found right here.
