Old St. Records Turns Record Store Day into a Late-Night Vinyl Party

London’s live music scene will be turning vinyl this April, as Record Store Day returns for another year – and to mark the occasion, Old St. Records will be hosting a one-day vinyl-led party in Shoreditch, running from afternoon through to the early hours. The event is set to see back-to-back DJ sets, exclusive drinks offers, and great food to keep the party going for the crowds drawn straight from the city’s record shops. And as an extra special treat, anyone arriving with a same-day receipt from a record store will also be handed a complimentary drink at the bar.

Record Store Day returns on 18th April, celebrating independent record shops and the culture that surrounds them through the likes of parties, exclusive releases, and in-store events across the UK. Old St. Records is fully embracing the energy, focussing on vinyl through the day and the bar into the night, with DJs providing the soundtrack throughout.

The line-up begins at 3pm, moving through a mix of disco, funk, hip hop and R&B before shifting into dancefloor territory as the evening builds. Carly Foxx will be opening with a lighter, feel-good set, followed by Matman and Dan Grey to take the tempo up a notch. DJ P will be bringing 90s and 00s tracks, before Kengo San and Limao dive into the decks to carry things through to a late close.

Behind the bar, drinks offers run alongside the music, including 2-for-1 cocktails between 5pm and 8pm. The menu will be serving up everything from a gin-based Elderflower Fizz to Tommy’s Margarita and a mezcal-spiked take on a Negroni. Signature pizzas will also be available to enjoy, including the spicy Diavola Nduja with tomato, fior di latte, spicy salami and Calabria sausage, or the Parmigiana topped with tomato pesto, roasted aubergine, garlic and fior di latte.

Old St. Records sits within the wider Record Bars group, founded by Rocket Leisure with the opening of Venn St. Records in 2010. What began as a single neighbourhood venue has grown into a small collection of music-led bars across London, with thousands of live performances and DJ sets hosted over the years.

Record Store Day celebrations at Old St. Records will take place on 18 April at 350–356 Old Street, London EC1V 9NQ. You can find out more about Old St. Records right here.
