SPICY FEASTS, SEAFOOD LUXURY AND INTIMATE TASTING MENUS: WHERE TO DINE IN LONDON THIS VALENTINE’S DAY

Valentine’s Day in London is heating up — quite literally. From London’s hottest spice challenge in Chinatown to lobster-filled feasts in Mayfair and intimate Japanese kappo dining in Marylebone, the capital’s restaurants are going all out for 14 February. Whether you’re after fiery flavours, indulgent seafood or a quietly romantic tasting menu, these standout spots are serving unforgettable Valentine’s Day dining experiences.

Turn Up the Heat at Noodle and Beer Chinatown

If your idea of romance involves sweating it out together, Noodle and Beer Chinatown is inviting brave couples to take on London’s hottest Valentine’s Day menu. Available exclusively on Saturday 14 February, the limited-edition spicy set menu promises serious heat — and just enough sweetness to cool things down.

The fiery feast begins with Choo-Shou, Sichuan dumplings filled with minced chicken and lotus root, before dialling things up with the restaurant’s spiciest dish to date: Xian-Jiao Niu Rou. Scoring a full 5/5 on Noodle and Beer’s chilli scale, the noodle dish combines red pepper, beef, peanuts, spring onions and pickled greens — definitely not one for the faint-hearted.

Relief comes in the form of dessert: Bin Feng, a refreshing icy jelly topped with brown sugar, raisins, peanuts, baked sesame seeds and fermented sweet rice. Set against deep red interiors and low romantic lighting, Noodle and Beer offers a bold, playful take on Valentine’s dining in London.

Each course can be paired with optional wines curated by Douglas Blyde, including a crisp Grenache Gris from France, smooth Japanese Daiginjo sake and an indulgent Penfolds Grand Tawny to finish.

Pricing:

Two courses – £25pp | Three courses – £30pp
Wine pairings – £16.50 (two courses) | £26.50 (three courses)

Across both Mayfair and Knightsbridge from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 February, diners can enjoy special Valentine’s dishes, including the decadent Lobster Fish Pie (£65 for two). Packed with lobster, Cornish crab, crayfish tails and smoked haddock, it’s served with rich bisque gravy, peas and hand-cut chips.

For something extra special, couples can pre-order the Afternoon ‘Sea’ for Two — a seafood-led twist on afternoon tea — best paired with a bottle of English sparkling wine or one of the restaurant’s signature gin cocktails.
