SONIA STEIN SHINES BEFORE MOTHERHOOD WITH NEW EP “GOLDEN”

Singer-songwriter Sonia Stein is back with her evocative new EP, Golden, a reflective journey through her twenties as she steps into the final chapter of her pregnancy. The five-track collection revisits raw emotions once deemed “too much,” transforming them into a compassionate and introspective musical experience.

A Heartfelt Journey Through Life and Love

The EP features standout tracks “Eyes” and “Hell Ride”, alongside three new additions: “Ghost,” “So Close,” and the focus track “Golden”. Together, they form a coming-of-age meditation on the cost of chasing purpose and the quiet beauty in life’s slower, uncertain moments.

  • “Eyes” captures the electrifying spark when two people connect.

  • “Hell Ride” explores the intoxicating highs of gut-wrenching love.

  • “Ghost” pays tribute to Sonia’s late friend in a moving, intimate ballad.

  • “So Close” radiates chemistry and passion, while

  • “Golden” closes the EP with a gentle reminder to savour life’s simple pleasures.

Discussing the EP, Sonia explains: “This EP is my last project before crossing the threshold of motherhood. It’s a tour through my early and mid-twenties, owning parts of myself that once felt embarrassing or ‘too much’ with the compassion and humour I have now.”

On the titular track “Golden,” she adds: “It’s about growth, presence, doubt, acceptance, and discovering that peace and purpose aren’t destinations—they’re in the road you’re already on.”

Collaborations and Musical Craft

The EP benefits from collaborations with acclaimed artists and producers: Polish indie-pop talent Julia Pośnik, Grammy-nominated songwriter Taneisha Jackson, London-based producer Jungleboi, Bubba McCarthy, and PALMR. Their combined expertise elevates Sonia’s signature R&B-tinged, slow-burn vocals to new heights.

Rooted in a lifelong love for the piano, Sonia’s artistry also reflects her commitment to sustainability and mindful living, now further influenced by pregnancy as she explores vulnerability and curiosity in her music.

Global Roots, Local Impact

Born in Berlin and raised across Poland, Boston, New York, and London, Sonia Stein’s global journey informs her richly layered sound. Her previous EPs—One Of Those Things, Eat Your Words, See Me Now, and Letters—have garnered over seven million YouTube views and ten million streams. Singles like “Coexist,” “Every Time Africa Plays,” “Philosophical,” and “Zoom Out” showcase her hypnotic voice and expansive vocal range, earning acclaim from Wonderland Magazine.

Sonia has also captivated audiences at Glastonbury Festival, London and NYC Fashion Weeks, and alongside artists such as Dido, Alice Merton, James Arthur, and Lucy Spraggan.
