Speaking about his journey, Rice reflected:
“When I first broke into professional football, I worked under Slaven Bilić, Manuel Pellegrini, David Moyes, and now Mikel Arteta. All four are different, but at this moment, I’ve probably learned the most from Mikel. The level of tactics, the detail we go into, how we play—I’ve never once gone into a game at Arsenal not knowing my role.”

“He educated me. If he calls me now or whenever he’s in trouble, I’ll be there and I know he’ll be there. Dennis Bergkamp was the best to make you understand what you needed to understand without talking, just follow his way and trust me, you will succeed.
