Founded in 1986 by Chris and Cheryl Holt, Snugburys began as a small family venture producing ice cream from their farmhouse kitchen. Today, the business is run by sisters Hannah, Kitty and Cleo, who continue the family’s commitment to producing premium ice cream using fresh British cream and carefully sourced ingredients.
Each flavour is developed by Cleo, a professionally trained chef who studied at both Le Cordon Bleu and Ballymaloe Cookery School. The team takes a hands-on approach, creating many of their signature mix-ins and toppings in-house, including caramelised nuts, brownies, honeycomb, sauces and ripples. These additions are swirled, sprinkled and drizzled into every batch to create the rich textures and flavours the brand has become known for.
