Prime Video has unveiled a first look at its upcoming Spanish Amazon Original film, Drawn Together, based on the bestselling duology Enfrentados by Mercedes Ron — and it’s already shaping up to be one of 2026’s most anticipated romantic thrillers.
Set to launch globally on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories, Drawn Together marks another major collaboration between the streaming giant and the popular author, following previous adaptations of her hit novels.
A Star-Studded Cast Brings the Story to Life
Leading the film are Ester Expósito (Élite) and Hugo Diego García (The Substance), who take on the roles of Marfil Cortés and Sebastián Moore.
They’re joined by a strong supporting cast including Eric Massip (Through My Window), Pablo Molinero (A Private Affair), Zoe Bonafonte (The 47), Lluís Homar (Los Abrazos Rotos), and Joaquín Ferreira (Club de Cuervos).
What Is Drawn Together About?
The story follows Marfil Cortés, the daughter of a wealthy Spanish businessman whose seemingly perfect life in New York is turned upside down after she is kidnapped — only to be mysteriously released.
In the aftermath, her father assigns the enigmatic Sebastián Moore as her personal bodyguard. While Marfil is fiercely independent and Sebastián remains emotionally distant, an undeniable connection begins to form between them.
As the pair return to Spain and new dangers surface, they are forced to navigate a world filled with secrets, shifting loyalties, and unexpected threats — where trust is fragile and nothing is quite as it seems.
Behind the Scenes
Drawn Together is produced by Pokeepsie Films (part of Banijay Iberia), with acclaimed filmmaker Álex de la Iglesia and Carolina Bang attached as producers.
Direction comes from Óscar Pedraza (Patria, Vivir Sin Permiso), while the screenplay is penned by Sofía Cuenca (Culpa Tuya, Culpa Nuestra).
The film is based on Ron’s duology, Drawn Together and Drawn Apart, which has gained a strong following among fans of contemporary romance and suspense.
Prime Video’s Growing Slate of Originals
The release of Drawn Together continues Amazon’s push into international storytelling through Prime Video, adding to a diverse catalogue that includes global hits like The Boys, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
UK audiences have also seen a surge in locally produced originals, including Clarkson’s Farm and My Fault: London, alongside live sports coverage such as the UEFA Champions League.
When and Where to Watch
Drawn Together will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in 2026 as part of the platform’s Prime subscription offering.
