PREMIER LEAGUE HALL OF FAME TO WELCOME NEW INDUCTEES FOR 2023

The Premier League will announce five new inductees into its Hall of Fame this season.

The Hall of Fame recognises and celebrates individuals who have an exceptional record of success and have made a significant contribution to the Premier League since its inception in 1992. It is the highest individual honour awarded by the League.

Two inductees selected by the Premier League will be revealed this Wednesday (29 March). A shortlist of 15 nominees will be announced at 10am on Thursday (30 March), when fans around the world will be invited to vote for three former Premier League players to join the Hall of Fame. Voting will be available via premierleague.com and the Premier League app.

The online vote will be open until 6pm on Monday 10 April. The three inductees will be selected through a combination of the public vote, as well as votes from the Premier League Awards Panel and previous inductees into the Hall of Fame. They will be unveiled on Wednesday 3 May.

The Hall of Fame launched in 2021, with inaugural inductees Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard and
Steven Gerrard.

In 2022, Wayne Rooney, Patrick Vieira, Sergio Agüero, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes and Ian Wright were inducted.

Each inductee receives a personalised medallion and £10,000 to donate to a charity of their choice.

To be eligible for the Premier League Hall of Fame, candidates must be retired and only their Premier League career is considered in their candidacy.

Further details will be announced soon. Follow @premierleague and #PLHallOfFame on social media.
