PIZZAEXPRESS LAUNCHES “THE KING” PIZZA

PizzaExpress is celebrating the historic coronation of King Charles III by announcing a new royal-themed addition to their menu – The King.

PizzaExpress is marking the occasion with its own special tribute, a delicious pizza made on its iconic Romana or Classic bases. Launching on 2nd May, The King features a regal trio of toppings, pepperoni, n’duja and pancetta, which sit atop a delicious tomato and mozzarella base. Truly a pizza fit for a king.

Available for a limited time only, The King joins PizzaExpress’s iconic La Reine, which translates to “the Queen”, and features ham, black olives, mushrooms, mozzarella and tomato. Diners will be able to celebrate the coronation in style with a set menu featuring both royal tributes, The King and La Reine, accompanied by either PizzaExpress’s iconic Dough Balls or Garlic Bread with Mozzarella for just £17.95 for PizzaExpress loyalty members (£18.95 for non-members).

Paula MacKenzie, CEO of PizzaExpress said: “Unmissable occasions like the coronation give the whole nation a reason to celebrate, so what better way to honour the moment than with a specially created pizza? The King is our way of marking this incredible piece of history, so we’re looking forward to welcoming guests up and down the UK and treating them like royalty as they enjoy this limited-edition affair.”

The King will be available at PizzaExpress locations up and down the UK and via delivery for £16.95 from 2nd May, for a limited time. The coronation set menu is also available in restaurant for £17.95 for PEX loyalty members and £18.95 for non-members, and available for delivery via JustEat, Uber and Deliveroo as part of the King Bundle for £18.95.
