Bringing the vibes, heat and moves of the groove to a brand new venue in London, Piano People has announced the world’s biggest Amapiano festival at Drumsheds today, headlined by Major League DJz.
Taking place 19th November 2023 as part of the first series of shows revealed at London’s new super club, the global leader and game changer in the world of Amapiano are clearly on a mission to push things forward, uniting everyone on the dance floor.
Outside the home of Amapiano; South Africa, Piano People are the biggest and hottest Amapiano event in the world. With their most recent show being the dedicated Piano People stage at Afro Nation Portugal; they have been instrumental in the globalisation of the Amapiano genre, giving a platform to incredible artists such as DJ Maphorisa, Focalistic, and Uncle Waffles – who closed the show this July to a 20k strong crowd on the beach.
Throughout June, Piano People also hosted another pioneering event with London’s first-ever Amapiano residency with Major League DJz. Over four nights at HERE at Outernet, these incredible parties saw some of the kings of amapiano linking up with a who’s who in the London scene, including Tiffany Calver and Benji B, and also saw surprise appearances from Afrobeats stars like Wizkid and Rema. Between now and November, Piano People will also be producing London Carnival Warm Up parties around the UK with Young Stunna and Tyler ICU – the artist behind the hottest Amapiano track right now, ‘Mnike’.
Known for capturing the purest and most authentic vibes of the fastest growing genre, this will be Piano People’s most ambitious show yet, with unmissable vibes from over 30+ acts spread across three rooms at Drumsheds London. Speaking about the announcement, the Piano People organisers said:

Partnering with the Piano People brand will be Lit Lagos, a new brand hoping to bring the Detty December energy worldwide. The Lit Lagos stage, with their new contemporary flair, will pay homage to the Afrobeats scene in Africa and the vibrant energy that surrounds it.
