British menswear label Percival has teamed up once again with Scotch whisky brand Monkey Shoulder to unveil a new limited-edition football shirt that blends fashion, football culture and whisky heritage into one striking summer release.
The collaboration arrives at a time when football-inspired fashion continues to influence streetwear and menswear trends, offering fans an alternative to traditional tournament merchandise with a design that prioritises style as much as sport.
A Football Shirt Inspired by Speyside
Available for pre-order from 3 June, the new ‘Speyside’ football shirt draws its inspiration from the landscapes surrounding Scotland’s famous whisky-producing region. The design features a distinctive pixel distortion stripe pattern, moving away from conventional football shirt aesthetics in favour of a more fashion-forward approach.
Its bold orange, red and black colour palette reflects the rugged terrain, forests and valleys of Speyside, the historic home of Monkey Shoulder’s whisky-making heritage.
Manufactured by Admiral and designed with Percival’s signature attention to detail, the shirt has been created as a versatile wardrobe piece that works just as well away from the football pitch as it does on match day.
Fans can learn more about Percival via the brand’s official website: Percival Menswear.
Football Meets Fashion and Culture
The latest release continues Percival’s growing reputation for reimagining classic menswear staples through a contemporary lens. The London-based brand has increasingly embraced football culture through special collections and limited-edition pieces, positioning football shirts as lifestyle garments rather than purely sporting apparel.
According to Percival founder and creative director Chris Gove, the shirt was designed as a “subversive reinterpretation” of the traditional football kit.
“Less match day uniform, more wearable artwork,” Gove explained, highlighting the collaboration’s aim of pushing football-inspired fashion into a more elevated space.
The Partnership Extends Beyond Fashion
The football shirt follows a wider partnership between Percival and Monkey Shoulder that recently transformed the retailer’s London stores.
Earlier this year, Percival revamped its flagship Soho location with a dedicated vinyl listening bar created in partnership with Monkey Shoulder. The concept was designed to encourage visitors to spend more time in-store, blending music, fashion and hospitality into a single retail experience.
The listening bars feature curated vinyl collections and high-end audio systems, while customers can enjoy Monkey Shoulder’s signature Old Fashioned cocktail as they browse.
Monkey Shoulder brand manager James Eisen said the new shirt reflects the whisky brand’s playful identity and cultural connections.
“This limited-edition shirt perfectly captures Monkey Shoulder’s irreverent spirit, cultural credibility and connection to Speyside in the Scottish Highlands,” Eisen said.
