Following the success of the first-ever domestic women’s football sticker album last year, Panini and the Women’s Professional Game confirm that the Barclays Women’s Super League Official Sticker Collection will arrive in November. This announcement reflects the continued growth in the women’s game as cumulative attendances across the Barclays WSL and Women’s Championship surpassed one million for the first time across the 2023/24 season.
Panini, the world leader for sports collectables, has confirmed the physical Barclays WSL sticker collection will be back, bigger and better than ever, now featuring 397 stickers across a 60-page album, more bumper stats, and even more of the all-important must-have ‘shinies’.
Celebrating the best of the women’s domestic game, the album includes Impact Players and Power Pairs from all 12 Barclays WSL teams as well as a nod to future women’s football stars. Manchester City’s Chloe Kelly and Arsenal’s Alessia Russo will feature on the star-studded album front cover.
Football fans won’t have to wait long to begin their collecting journey, with stickers available in retailers from November 2024. Collectors can kick off with a starter pack, which includes a Panini Barclays WSL album and five packets of stickers.
“We couldn’t be more excited for the launch of the second Barclays Women’s Super League Official Sticker Collection. The response to the collection last year was incredible. As well as enabling us to bring the game closer to the fans, it also brought communities together across the country as fans formed swap groups to help them complete the collection. Many WSL players were also collecting and swapping stickers became a favourite activity after training! We even had some players swapping with fans at games to help them find those all-important missing stickers! It’s what a Panini sticker collection is all about, bringing communities together through the fun of collecting. We can’t wait for this to begin again when the new collection lands in November.”
Katie Gritt, Head of Marketing for Sport at Panini
Nikki Doucet, Chief Executive of the Women’s Professional Leagues Ltd, added: “The impact of last season’s sticker collection with Panini surpassed everyone’s expectations and just goes to prove the great appetite that exists for the women’s professional game. We love that this sticker collection is for the fans and that it puts the players front and centre and we can’t wait to see it hit the shelves.”
