Here are three of our favourite warming Palmaráe cocktail ideas to try this winter:
Palmaráe Hot Chocolate Orange – 30ml Palmaráe Gin, 60g milk chocolate nibs, 60g skimmed milk, 24g cream, ¼ fresh orange (peeled), 1 small green cardamom, 1 small green pepper, and a pinch of salt.
Gently heat the chocolate nibs with milk until slightly thickened, then infuse with orange peel, cardamom, green pepper, and salt. Strain, reheat gently, add Palmaráe Gin, and serve warm, optionally garnished with candied orange peel.
Palmaráe Hot Toddy – 60ml Palmaráe Gin, 90ml water, 1 fresh lemon slice studded with 5 cloves, 1 tsp honey, 1 cinnamon stick, and 1 dried lemon wheel.
Warm the water with lemon, cloves, honey, and cinnamon until dissolved. Allow to cool slightly, pour into a glass, top with Palmaráe Gin, and garnish with dried lemon and cinnamon.
Palmaráe Mulled Red Wine (Vin Chaud) – 45ml Palmaráe Gin, 150ml Syrah or Cabernet red wine, 1ml rose water, 12 green cardamom seeds, ½ orange peel, 1 star anise, and date syrup.
Gently heat the wine with cardamom, orange peel, rose water, and star anise, then strain and reheat. Pour Palmaráe Gin into a glass, add the mulled wine, sweeten with date syrup, and garnish with star anise.
