Monochrome by Oatly will bring a matcha-green immersive experience, free drinks, exclusive merchandise and London’s first Colour Matching Matcha Bar to Goodhood from 3–13 September.
Matcha lovers have another reason to head to East London this September as Oatly and Goodhood team up for an immersive new pop-up celebrating one of the biggest drinks trends of the moment.
Monochrome by Oatly will take over Goodhood’s iconic corner space at 15 Hanbury Street, London, from 3–13 September 2026, transforming the fashion and lifestyle destination into an entirely matcha-green world.
Part retail space, part art installation and part gift shop, the ten-day experience will combine design, food and drink with a series of limited-edition products and free Oatly matcha drinks.
London’s First Colour Matching Matcha Bar
The standout attraction is set to be the Colour Matching Matcha Bar, which Oatly describes as London’s first experience of its kind.
On selected days, visitors can receive a professional colour assessment from a Colour Analyst, who will identify their perfect shade of matcha green. A barista will then create a bespoke Oatly matcha drink inspired by the chosen colour, making for a personalised – and highly Instagrammable – experience.
The Colour Matching Matcha Bar will be hosted inside Commune at Goodhood and will operate on a first-come, first-served basis on Thursday 3 September and Thursday 10 September, from 11am to 5pm.
Free Matcha Drinks and Limited-Edition Goodies
Visitors to Monochrome by Oatly can also pick up complimentary drinks made with Oatly Matcha Latte, including Pear & Jasmine Matcha and Pandan Matcha.
Oatly’s Matcha Latte Oat Drink combines oat drink with matcha green tea powder and a hint of vanilla, making it a fitting centrepiece for the green-themed experience.
The pop-up will also feature a rotating conveyor belt showcasing a curated selection of Oatly x Goodhood products, with exclusive pieces available to buy in-store.
Among the collection is a limited-edition ceramic range created with ceramicist Liam Owen, featuring handcrafted matcha mugs, incense holders and trinket trays finished in a bespoke green freckle glaze.
There will also be exclusive Oatly x Goodhood accessories and lifestyle products, including tote bags, keychains and soap.
A Matcha-Green Goodhood
Goodhood, which has been based at 15 Hanbury Street since 2017, is an independent East London retailer known for its curated mix of fashion, lifestyle and design brands.
The store’s central Shoreditch location makes it a natural setting for the collaboration, with the entire corner space and entrance window being transformed for the event.
The result promises a highly visual experience designed to blur the line between shopping, art and food and drink – while leaning fully into the distinctive green aesthetic of matcha.
