NQJPN, the new nightlife and arcade concept from the team behind NQ64, is set to open on London’s Berwick Street this October, combining Japanese arcade culture, cocktails, electronic music and a futuristic Neo Tokyo-inspired aesthetic.
Soho is getting a new destination for late-night gaming and nightlife, as NQJPN prepares to open its doors at 53–54 Berwick Street on Friday 23 October 2026.
Created by the team behind NQ64, NQJPN is designed as an entirely new concept rather than simply being a new version of the popular arcade bar.
Instead, the venue brings together a late-night cocktail bar, club and specialist Japanese arcade under one roof, with two dramatically different spaces separated by a translucent red butcher’s curtain.

A Futuristic Cocktail Bar Comes to Soho!
The main NQJPN bar takes inspiration from a darker, more grown-up version of the aesthetic associated with NQ64.
The interior combines black, red and chrome, alongside saturated lighting, street-art influences and a futuristic visual style inspired by the idea of Neo Tokyo.
The cocktail menu features 12 signature serves, with Japanese-inspired ingredients and flavours including dragon fruit, matcha and cherry blossom.
Drinks include a Melon and Cucumber Daiquiri, Frozen Dragon Fruit Piña Colada and Chilli Pepper Margarita, alongside Japanese highballs, whisky and an alcohol-free selection.
Guests can also try alcoholic bubble teas, including combinations such as Tequila, Apple & Yuzu.
Even the ice gets special treatment, with individual serves featuring ice that has been specifically cut and shaped for the cocktail.
NQJPN Will Stay Open Until 3am!
NQJPN is designed to become a late-night destination, opening until 3am seven days a week.
The soundtrack will centre around bass-forward tech house and dance music, with DJs taking over on Fridays and Saturdays.
As the night progresses, the bar will shift towards a harder-edged electronic soundtrack, transforming the space into a late-night dance floor.
But that’s only half of the experience.
Step Through the Red Curtain Into a Japanese Arcade!
Beyond the translucent red curtain, the atmosphere changes completely.
The bar gives way to a dedicated arcade filled with specialist machines imported directly from Japan, bringing together rhythm, action, driving and candy-cabinet games that aren’t commonly found together in the UK.
The collection includes cult Japanese arcade titles such as maimai, jubeat, Wacca and Dancerush, giving visitors the chance to experience machines that offer something very different from playing games at home.
The arcade takes visual inspiration from late-1990s and early-2000s gaming, manga and anime, while incorporating NQ64’s darker aesthetic to create something more futuristic and unconventional.
For fans of Japanese gaming culture, it could provide a very different kind of arcade experience in the heart of London.
Meet NQ Mart!
The arcade will also be home to NQ Mart, a colourful counter inspired by the bright aesthetic and energy of Asian convenience stores.
Guests can create more than 2,000 different drink combinations by choosing a spirit, soft drink and flavoured syrup or foam.
NQ Mart will also serve alcoholic bubble teas alongside more than 20 unusual soft drinks sourced from Japan, America, Thailand and beyond.
And because no late-night gaming session is complete without something to eat, the space will feature a self-serve ramen station.
From NQ64 to NQJPN!
NQJPN will occupy the former NQ64 location at 53–54 Berwick Street, following NQ64’s move to a larger Soho venue at Orange Yard.
While the two concepts come from the same team, NQJPN has been deliberately developed as its own identity.
The new venue combines Japanese arcade and drinks culture with electronic music, street art and late-night nightlife, creating a space that the founders describe as their own interpretation of a futuristic arcade bar.
Matt Robson and Andy Haygarth, co-founders of NQJPN, said:
“While NQJPN comes from the same team as NQ64, we wanted to create something that feels completely different.”
They explained that the concept began with the arcade machines themselves, with the team bringing over a collection from Japan before building the wider venue around them.
The founders added that the space takes influences from Japanese drinks and gaming culture while combining them with late-night bars, electronic music, street art and arcade culture.
Visitors will also find details including Purikura-inspired photo booths, NQ Mart and an arcade designed to feel and sound completely different from the cocktail bar.
NQJPN Opens in Soho This October!
NQJPN will officially open at 53–54 Berwick Street, Soho, on Friday 23 October 2026.
With its combination of Japanese arcade machines, cocktails, DJs, ramen, bubble tea and futuristic styling, the new venue is set to offer something a little different to London’s late-night scene.
Whether you’re heading in for the arcade, exploring the cocktail menu or staying until the DJs take over, NQJPN is bringing a distinctly Japanese-inspired gaming and nightlife experience to the heart of Soho.
