NOTTO BROADGATE OPENS: MICHELIN-STARRED PASTA GOES FAST-CASUAL IN THE CITY

London’s love affair with quality pasta is about to get even stronger. NOTTO, the cult-favourite pasta brand founded by Michelin-starred chef Phil Howard and entrepreneur Julian Dyer, is opening its first fast-casual restaurant in Broadgate, bringing premium, ingredient-led pasta to busy City workers and Londoners on the move.

Originally launched as a pasta delivery concept before growing into two much-loved NOTTO Pasta Bars in Piccadilly and Covent Garden, the brand has built a loyal following for its unfussy, expertly made dishes. With NOTTO Broadgate, Howard and Dyer take that same philosophy and adapt it for a quicker, no-compromise dining experience — without losing the soul of the food.

A New Fast-Casual Chapter for NOTTO

Opening on Monday 22 December, NOTTO Broadgate marks the first fast-casual evolution of the brand. Designed specifically for lunchtime rushes and early evening dinners, the new site delivers restaurant-quality pasta in minutes, proving that fast food doesn’t have to mean forgettable food.

Instead of impersonal ordering screens, the Broadgate location introduces a more human, intuitive “tray-slide” service. Guests choose their pasta first — cooked fresh to order — then move along the counter to select salads or sides while their dish is prepared. Thanks to fresh pasta and efficient execution, everything is ready almost immediately.

The Menu: Six Pastas, Four Salads, Zero Shortcuts

At launch, NOTTO Broadgate will offer six pasta dishes and four salads, catering to both indulgent cravings and lighter lunches.

Pasta highlights include:

  • Rigatoni cacio e pepe (£12.50)

  • Spaghetti with aged British beef Bolognese, field mushrooms and red wine (£12.50)

  • Gnocchetti with smashed sausage, fennel, chilli, white wine and garlic (£12.50)

  • Strozzapreti with porcini, aged parmesan and cream (£13.75)

  • Ravioli of Delica pumpkin with brown butter, capers and sage (£13.75)

  • Strozzapreti with black truffles, chicken stock, farmhouse butter and parmesan (£25.00)

Salads on offer include:

  • The Amalfi — Niçoise-style with line-caught tuna and crunchy chickpeas (£12.95)

  • The Roman — Caesar-style with chicken, butter beans and anchovy-parmesan dressing (£12.95)

  • The Piedmont — Alpine-style with blue cheese, walnuts, dried apple and beetroot (£12.95)

  • The Small — a light green side salad with Mrs H’s dressing (£4.50)

Everything is made in-house, from the pasta and sauces to seasonal salads, Instagram-famous focaccia (£2.50) and indulgent ganache pots (£3.50).

The Burrata Bar: A Broadgate Must-Try

One of the standout features at NOTTO Broadgate is its dedicated burrata bar, showcasing exceptional burrata sourced from Buchanans Cheesemonger. Already a fan favourite at the original Pasta Bars, the burrata offering is elevated here with a choice of seasonal accompaniments (£6.75 each), including smashed green olives, anchovy and orange dressing, classic pesto, and balsamic vinegar with olive oil.

It’s a simple idea, executed with precision — and one that’s likely to become a lunchtime essential in the City.

Michelin-Starred Minds Behind the Concept

Phil Howard, best known for his Michelin-starred career and ingredient-led cooking philosophy, explains the thinking behind the new opening:

“A fantastic bowl of pasta has always been at the heart of NOTTO, and NOTTO Broadgate allows us to bring that same ingredient-led passion into a fast-paced environment. Add a burrata bar and a handful of wholesome salads and we believe we have an offering which is super fresh, super quick but still cooked with real care and attention.”

The launch is supported by a heavyweight hospitality team, including Ali Howard (Head Chef across NOTTO Pasta Bars), Louis Korovilas (Executive Chef, formerly of Locanda Locatelli and Bancone), Harvi Singh (Head of Projects), and Andre Van Staden as General Manager.

Julian Dyer adds:

“NOTTO has always been about making exceptional pasta more accessible. This new concept is designed for busy professionals who value both speed and quality, proving fast-casual dining can still deliver integrity and excellence.”

A New Go-To for City Lunches

With its Broadgate opening, NOTTO proves that even a quick lunch or dinner can be cooked with Michelin-starred care. For Londoners who want flavour, quality and speed — without compromise — NOTTO Broadgate is set to become a new City favourite.
