Norma has celebrated International Women’s Day with a one-of-a-kind tasting menu, carefully curated by the women behind the West End hotspot to run throughout the month.
The menu from Fitzrovia’s favourite Sicilian-inspired restaurant honours the creativity and talent of the women within its team, showcasing their diverse backgrounds, culinary expertise, and personal tastes.
With a cost of £65 per person, the dishes crafted by the female chefs feature traditional Sicilian tastes, incorporating seasonal ingredients inspired by both Italian and English culinary elements. Each dish has been designed by a different member of the team, adding their own stamps to the dining experience.
The starters:
- Naomi’s appetisers – Homemade focaccia, sun dried yellow tomato and olives
- Dimitri’s antipasto – Tuna and monkfish crudo, squid ink rice crisp, kalamata olives, blood orange caviar
- Zohan’s Primo course – Wild garlic risotto with red prawns and yellow courgettes
The main dishes:
- Bo’s – Pan-fried cod, pea purée and caramelised tropea onion
- Bo’s – Rabbit saddle, kind oyster mushroom, prosciutto crumble, swede puree with crispy kale
- Zohan’s – Spiced cauliflower, smoked paprika and broad bean ragu
And for dessert, Naomi’s selection includes; a Braeburn apple rose tart, vanilla cream wd wild strawberries and Gelat tan nanna with date fritters.
Complementing the tasting menu, Norma’s front-of-house team has designed an exclusive cocktail menu in celebration of International Women’s Day. The Donna Forte cocktail features Malfy Gin, rose, pomegranate, lemon, and is topped with prosecco.
Part of the Stafford Collection, the independently owned luxury portfolio of hotels and restaurants, Norma was opened in 2019 as the first standalone restaurant within a charming townhouse on Charlotte Street in London’s Fitzrovia. At the helms is Executive Head Chef Giovann Attard, originally from the Maltese island of Gozo where the food is heavily influenced both by Italian and Moorish spicing. This distinctive culinary heritage, coupled with Giovann’s culinary training and passion for premium ingredients, is reflected in the dishes and Norma experience that keeps patrons coming back for more.
