Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is getting an early showcase at EE Studio in Westfield White City, giving fans the chance to try the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 game before its October launch.
Nintendo and EE are bringing the world of Wuhu Island to London this week, with an immersive Nintendo takeover at the EE Studio in Westfield, White City.
From 11 to 13 August 2026, visitors will have the opportunity to get an early hands-on look at Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, ahead of its official launch on 22 October 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Arrives at EE Studio
The upcoming game reimagines the sports experience that helped turn Wii Sports and Nintendo’s wider sports games into household favourites, bringing a mix of returning activities and new ways to play.
During the EE Studio preview, visitors can try classic sports including tennis, volleyball, bowling, basketball, golf, boxing and table tennis.
The experience will also introduce players to new activities, including skateboarding, thumb wrestling and power cruising, giving fans a chance to explore what Nintendo has planned for the new title.
The preview runs until 13 August, meaning gamers only have a short window to get hands-on with Nintendo Switch Sports Resort before its October release.
Mario Kart World and Star Fox Tournaments
The Nintendo takeover will continue from 14 to 16 August, when the EE Studio’s Gaming Zone will host hourly multiplayer tournaments featuring some of Nintendo’s biggest games.
Visitors can step into a Mario-themed go-kart and compete in Mario Kart World, which launched alongside Nintendo Switch 2, while Star Fox will also feature in the tournament line-up.
The latest Star Fox release is a remake of the cult classic Star Fox 64, giving fans another opportunity to revisit one of Nintendo’s most recognisable franchises.
Tournament winners will also have the chance to take home exclusive prizes.
Meet Mario at EE Studio
The takeover will offer more than gaming demos and tournaments, with Mario himself making an appearance at the EE Studio.
Visitors will be able to meet the iconic Nintendo character, take photographs and celebrate the ongoing success of Mario Kart World.
For fans who grew up with Nintendo’s sports and racing games, the event is designed to combine nostalgia with a look at the company’s latest releases.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Pre-Orders
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is scheduled to launch on 22 October 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2.
Fans can find out more about the upcoming game through Nintendo’s official website.
The game is also available to pre-order through EE, giving Nintendo fans the opportunity to secure their copy ahead of launch.
EE Expands Its Gaming Experience
The Nintendo takeover forms part of EE’s wider push to establish itself as a major destination for gaming in the UK.
The EE Studio opened at Westfield White City in June 2023 and combines physical and digital experiences designed around customers’ connected lives.
The store features several dedicated experience zones, including a Gaming Zone, making it a fitting location for EE’s latest Nintendo partnership.
The company says its gaming offering is built around a combination of gaming experiences, partnerships and exclusive offers, alongside its connectivity services.
For Nintendo fans in London, the EE Studio takeover provides an opportunity to get an early look at Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, compete in multiplayer tournaments and meet Mario before the new game arrives later this year.
