MOUS DROPS BRAND-NEW IPHONE 17 PRO OFF A 250M SWISS DAM…AND IT SURVIVES!

While most people were still unboxing their iPhone 17s this weekend, London-based tech brand Mous was throwing theirs off one of Europe’s tallest dams. In its boldest stunt yet, the team dropped Apple’s new iPhone 17 Pro – protected by a Mous Limitless case – from the 250m Mauvoisin Dam in Switzerland. The result? The phone survived!

And it wasn’t alone. An iPhone Air, also clad in a Mous Limitless aramid fibre case, tumbled the same distance – bouncing off a railing on the way down – and still lived to tell the tale.

Mous Takes Protection To New Heights

Mous is no stranger to extreme demonstrations. In past years the brand has hurled iPhones out of planes, thrown them from speeding Formula 1 cars, and even dropped them from hot air balloons. But the sheer scale of Mauvoisin Dam – one of Switzerland’s tallest, an engineering marvel in its own right – marks a new high point in Mous’ commitment to proving its cases can handle the real world.

In fact, the same iPhone 17 Pro had already endured a series of drops earlier in the day: from outside Apple’s flagship Milan store to an 86m trial run at Barrage des Toules dam.

By the time it faced Mauvoisin’s 250m plunge, it was a little scuffed – but still powered on after the big fall.

From Drop Test To Viral Moment

The stunt has already gone viral across social media – with one Instagram Reel topping 11 million views so far. Clips show Mous’ CEO and team travelling from Milan to Switzerland, stopping at multiple dams along the way before taking on the towering Mauvoisin.

The spectacle wasn’t just limited to iPhones: the team also tested new Mous gear, including an upcoming hardshell suitcase, a MacBook Pro in an Extreme backpack and even a dramatic base-jump reveal with a brand-new iPhone 17 Pro.

James Griffith, Mous Co-founder and CEO, said:

“We’ve built our brand on proving protection in the real world. Dropping the iPhone 17 Pro off Mauvoisin Dam is the ultimate demonstration of trust in our cases. If our products can survive this, they can survive anything our customers put them through.”

The Toughest Mous Cases Yet

This year’s iPhone 17 cases feature Mous’ most advanced protection system to date, including:

  • Reinforced camera bump built from glass-filled polycarbonate, engineered to defend Apple’s new camera redesign.
  • Patent-pending Camera Control button that delivers crisp, tactile presses and swipe accuracy without compromising on protection.
  • Targeted AiroShock impact absorption in the corners, precisely where phones take the hardest hits.
  • Full MagSafe and Qi2 compatibility, unlocking ultra-fast 15W wireless charging and compatibility with Mous’ growing ecosystem of mounts, wallets and chargers.
