MARCELLA AND LEVAN TEAM UP FOR ‘A TASTE OF NAPLES’ ONE-NIGHT-ONLY SUPPER CLUB IN PECKHAM

South East London’s dining scene is getting a serious Italian moment this February. On Monday 23rd February, neighbourhood favourite Marcella will welcome Peckham institution Levan for A Taste of Naples a one-night-only four-hands dinner celebrating the bold flavours, ingredients and soul of southern Italy’s most iconic food city.

The event kicks off Marcella’s South East London Supper Club Series, a new collaboration designed to spotlight the exceptional Italian chefs and restaurants thriving across the area. With Naples as the evening’s muse, the dinner promises warmth, generosity and unapologetic flavour — exactly how a Neapolitan table should feel.

A New Chapter for Levan

The supper club marks an exciting new era for Levan, following the appointment of its new Head Chef Rani Raimondi, who hails from Naples. Raimondi arrives with an impressive résumé shaped by some of Europe’s most respected kitchens, including Michelin-starred The Clove Club, Planque in East London, La Compagnie in Neal’s Yard, and Prosper in Marseille.

It was in Marseille, with its Mediterranean larder and relaxed coastal energy, that Raimondi’s cooking found a lasting influence — one that now blends seamlessly with his Neapolitan roots. This collaboration sees him bringing those flavours home, reimagined through the lens of South East London’s ever-evolving food scene.

Why Levan Still Leads Peckham’s Dining Scene

A long-standing cornerstone of the Peckham restaurant circuit, Levan has built a loyal following thanks to its seasonal, inventive food served in a relaxed, convivial setting just off Rye Lane. With an open kitchen, counter seating and a cosy dining room, it’s become a go-to for thoughtful dishes shaped by technique, provenance and a strong sense of place.

Rooted in French gastronomy but unafraid of fresh thinking, Levan continues to evolve — and this collaboration is proof that the restaurant is entering its most exciting chapter yet.

What to Expect from ‘A Taste of Naples’

Designed as a shared celebration of heritage and creativity, Marcella x Levan: A Taste of Naples will see both teams collaborate on a four-course menu inspired by the rhythms of southern Italy. Expect vibrant antipasti, handmade pasta, a hearty secondo and a decadent dolce — all led by seasonality, simplicity and bold, comforting flavour.

Priced at £50 per person, the menu is intentionally generous and convivial, echoing the spirit of Neapolitan hospitality while embracing the contemporary European sensibilities both restaurants are known for.

A Love Letter to South East London’s Food Community

This supper club is the first in Marcella’s 2026 series, created to highlight the chefs, producers and restaurants shaping South East London’s dynamic culinary identity. It’s a celebration not just of Naples, but of the local talent bringing global flavours to the capital.
