LUNA OMAKASE ADDS SECOND NIGHTLY SITTING FOLLOWING MONTHS OF SELL-OUT DEMAND

LUNA Omakase, the only omakase restaurant in the City of London, is expanding its nightly service this February after months of fully booked reservations and an ever-growing waiting list. From 3 February 2026, the highly sought-after restaurant will introduce a second nightly sitting, giving more diners the chance to experience one of London’s most exclusive and talked-about culinary destinations.

Located on the ninth floor of 100 Broadgate, LUNA is also officially London’s highest omakase restaurant, combining an intimate 12-seat chef’s counter with sweeping views across St Paul’s Cathedral and the wider London skyline. With reservations previously stretching months in advance, the addition of a 6pm sitting alongside the existing 8.30pm service (Tuesday to Saturday) effectively doubles nightly availability without compromising the experience.

London’s Only Gluten-Free Omakase Experience

One of LUNA’s defining features is its accessibility without sacrifice. The entire menu is gluten- and nut-free, making it London’s only dedicated gluten-free omakase — a rarity within the capital’s fine-dining scene. This commitment allows guests with dietary restrictions to experience authentic, high-end omakase dining without modification or exclusion.

A Personal Omakase Journey by Chef Leonard Tanyag

At the heart of LUNA is Executive Chef Leonard Tanyag, whose Sosaku-style Edomae omakase reflects more than two decades of international culinary mastery. Each seating unfolds across twelve meticulously composed courses, guided by seasonality, precision and reverence for ingredients.

The menu centres on rare and exceptional produce, including Bluefin Otoro, line-caught seasonal white fish, sweet Hokkaido scallops, premium King Crab, live shellfish and specialist Japanese imports flown in multiple times each week. Signature dishes such as Otoro Tartare with Oscietra Caviar, King Crab Leg Nigiri, Masu Toro, Kuro-Dai Nigiri and Hotate Aburi highlight the purity and restraint that define LUNA’s approach.

Storytelling Through Food

Beyond technical excellence, LUNA’s omakase also carries a deeply personal narrative. Standout courses like Chef Leonard’s Hamachi Yaki Onigiri draw inspiration from childhood memories, adding warmth and storytelling to the experience. It’s this balance of precision and personality that has helped position LUNA among London’s most coveted reservations.

An Immersive, Lunar-Inspired Setting

The experience is heightened by LUNA’s deliberately minimal design. Created by Oms Rocha, the intimate chef’s counter is framed by bespoke lunar artworks representing the twelve phases of the moon — a subtle reflection of the menu’s rhythm, progression and ceremony. The result is a space that feels immersive, calm and focused entirely on the food unfolding in front of you.

Responding to Unprecedented Demand

“LUNA is about precision, sourcing and respect for ingredients,” says Executive Chef Leonard Tanyag. “Every course is built around exceptional fish and produce, treated with restraint and intention. The counter is personal, the cooking is meticulous, and the aim is always to give guests something they simply can’t experience anywhere else.”

Owner Markus Thesleff adds: “From the beginning, LUNA has been fully booked every night, with long waiting lists. Introducing a second sitting is a direct response to that demand. It allows us to welcome more guests without compromising the intimacy, quality or integrity of the experience.”

How to Book LUNA Omakase

With its expanded service, LUNA remains one of London’s most exclusive dining experiences, but the new sitting offers a rare opportunity to secure a coveted seat at the counter.
