LONDON’S ROOFTOP CINEMA CLUB RETURNS FOR SUMMER 2026 WITH SKYLINE SCREENINGS AND SPECIAL EVENTS!

London’s iconic Rooftop Cinema Club is back this spring, bringing open-air film screenings and unforgettable city views to Peckham and Stratford. Doors open at The Bussey Building, Peckham on 30th April, followed by Roof East, Stratford on 7th May, with a specially curated programme of movies and events that promise cinematic magic above the London skyline. Early bird tickets are now available from £14 for adults and £8 for children, with additional screenings releasing from 8th April. Book before 3rd May using code ONIT20 for 20% off.

From Humble Beginnings to a Global Brand

Previously known as Rooftop Film Club, Rooftop Cinema Club has grown from a single projector on an East London rooftop in 2011 to a global brand with locations in London, Los Angeles, Miami, and Chicago. While films remain at the heart of the experience, the brand now blends social, experiential, and cinematic-driven moments, including skyline events, music performances, and immersive outdoor experiences.

Founder Gerry Cottle explains: “Cinema remains one of the few places where we can truly disconnect to reconnect. At Rooftop Cinema Club, we create fully immersive experiences with great food, drink, and a genuine sense of community.”

A Once-in-a-Blue-Moon Screening

On 31st May, film fans can catch a special screening of Interstellar at Peckham to coincide with the rare Blue Moon—the second full moon in a single month. Guests will also have access to a telescope for a closer view, making it a perfect outing for astronomy enthusiasts and movie lovers alike.

Exciting May Film Lineup

The rooftop cinemas are offering an eclectic mix of films this May, including:

  • Oscar-winning dramas: Sinners (2 May, Peckham; 9 May, Stratford) and One Battle After Another (30 April & 22 May, Peckham; 20 & 28 May, Stratford)
  • Cult classics & romances: Pretty Woman (8 May, Peckham; 16 May, Stratford), Pulp Fiction (28 May, Peckham), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (10 & 31 May, Peckham)
  • Arthouse Thursdays: In the Mood for Love (7 May, Peckham) launches the new monthly series
  • Family favourites: Zootropolis 2, Ratatouille, The Parent Trap
  • TV Tuesdays: Gossip Girl binge sessions on 19th May in Peckham

Music Meets Movies: Sofar Sounds Special

Rooftop Cinema Club is teaming up with Sofar Sounds for intimate live performances before selected screenings. The season kicks off on 14th May at Peckham with a live set paired with 10 Things I Hate About You, offering a golden-hour performance before the movie begins. Tickets include the lounge chair, live set, and film from £34.

Family-Friendly Summer Fun

Stratford hosts a Lilo & Stitch family summer party on 24th May, complete with Hawaiian-themed activities, music, and fun surprises for kids. Other family favourites include Ratatouille and The Parent Trap, making the rooftops a perfect destination for a summer outing.

Delicious Food & Drink

Beyond films, both rooftops serve a range of refreshments:

  • Peckham’s Bussey Rooftop Bar: cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine, pizzas, loaded chips, and garlic bread delivered directly to your seat
  • Roof East, Stratford: street food vendors including Cheeky Burger, Chick ‘n’ Sours, and Piddaji, plus four bars serving cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks

With flexible ticket transfers available due to unpredictable UK weather, a night under the stars with a film and a view has never been easier.

Tickets are on sale now at Rooftop Cinema Club UK.
