Lisa Maffia and Vixa Join Forces to Turn Car Breakdowns into Summer Anthems

UK Garage legend Lisa Maffia has partnered with car health assistant Vixa from The AA on Keep it Rollin, a new track designed to turn the stress of car troubles into a summer soundtrack. The single revives the spirit of early-2000s garage while addressing the real issue of drivers missing out on important moments due to breakdowns. With Gen Z among the hardest hit, the collaboration puts music at the centre of a campaign to keep Britain moving.

Keep it Rollin combines bouncy garage beats with real car sounds to create a nostalgic track that brings the best of the sounds of 00’s to today’s world. The track is as much an anthem for road trip season as it is a conversation starter about car reliability.

The release follows new research commissioned by Vixa showing the real impact of unreliable cars on everyday life. More than three quarters (76%) of drivers have experienced car trouble, with 61% saying their plans were completely scuppered as a result. Nearly a third (31%) admit they were unaware of the additional strain summer driving places on their vehicles, despite flat tyres (52%), battery failures (39%) and engine warning lights (28%) being the most common causes of disruption. The findings reveal one in four Brits have missed an important event due to vehicle trouble, with 9% missing weddings, 12% family holidays, 12% sports events and 13% seaside trips. Among Gen Z, two in three (68%) have skipped or changed plans altogether, fearing their car would not make the journey.

Vixa, developed by The AA, is designed to help drivers prevent these issues before they happen. The plug-in device and connected mobile app provide real-time diagnostics, personalised alerts, and proactive insights into car health. If a fault does arise, Vixa’s Mobile Mechanics can come directly to the driver, offering convenience and peace of mind without the guesswork. The service is available to all motorists, with an exclusive discounted rate for AA members, reflecting The AA’s long-standing commitment to driver confidence and innovation.
