A Fresh Spin on a Cult Classic: ‘Oops (Oh My)’
Alongside the tour news, LION BABE are gearing up to release their new single “Oops (Oh My)”, a reimagining of Tweet’s 2002 hit produced by Timbaland.
The duo’s version injects their signature blend of electronic textures and soulful energy into the track, transforming it into a sleek, club-ready anthem.
“We wanted this version to feel like a summer release of joy, sensuality, and freedom,” the duo shared, describing the song as both a tribute and a reinvention.
The single will serve as the first preview of their forthcoming LP, marking the beginning of a new sonic era.
From ‘Treat Me Like Fire’ to Global Recognition
Since emerging in 2012, LION BABE have built a reputation as pioneers of the independent artist movement. Their breakout single “Treat Me Like Fire” quickly became a viral success, eventually landing a sync in Grand Theft Auto V and racking up tens of millions of streams.
Early co-signs from artists like Disclosure helped propel them onto the global stage, leading to collaborations and performances that cemented their reputation as genre-blending innovators.
Their debut album Begin featured standout tracks like “Wonder Woman” (produced by Pharrell Williams) and “Jump Hi” with Childish Gambino, while later projects such as Cosmic Wind and Rainbow Child showcased a bold evolution in sound.
Festival Stages, Cultural Impact, and Collaborations
Over the years, LION BABE have delivered standout performances at major global festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury Festival, and AFROPUNK.
They’ve also shared stages with icons like Erykah Badu, Nas, and Nile Rodgers, while collaborating with a diverse range of creatives including Mark Ronson and Ghostface Killah.
Their music has also featured across popular TV shows such as Insecure and And Just Like That…, further embedding them in contemporary pop culture.
Beyond Music: Fashion, Art, and Cultural Influence
Jillian Hervey’s presence extends far beyond music. As a fashion and beauty icon, she has worked with brands like MAC Cosmetics and Pantene, while also appearing on major fashion week runways.
Together, the duo have bridged the worlds of music, art, and fashion—delivering performances at institutions like the Whitney Museum and aligning themselves with global cultural movements and events.
A New Era for LION BABE
With An Evening with LION BABE tour set to begin and “Oops (Oh My)” leading into a new album cycle, the duo are entering a refined and forward-thinking phase of their career.
Their ability to blend independence with cultural influence remains unmatched—continuing to shape the intersection of R&B, electronic music, and contemporary style on their own terms.
