LIDL PROV-ING IT’S THE BEST: DISCOUNTER SLICES BAKERY PRICES AS LOW AS 29p TO CELEBRATE BEING THE NATION’S FAVOURITE

The taste of victory just got sweeter for shoppers with Lidl slicing bakery prices to as low as 29p.

The cookie has well and truly crumbled, as Lidl is toasting sweet, sweet success of being crowned the UK’s No.1 in-store bakery by dropping prices like they’re (oven) hot.

Shoppers will be able to bake the most of savings across 11 bakery favourites, including the undisputed queen of pastries – the All Butter Croissant – weighing in at a delicious 59p.

Meanwhile, chocoholics can get their fill for just 69p, courtesy of a price drop across Lidl’s much-loved All Butter Pain Au Chocolat, Chocolate Twist and Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant. And, for the same price, shoppers can also go nuts for the Pain Aux Raisin, Almond Croissant, and Maple and Pecan Plait.

Looking for a dessert that won’t break the bank? At just 69p, the delectable Pastel de Nata and crisp Apple Turnover, available from the 25th, are proof that there’s no knead to splurge.

Last but not yeast, the freshly baked Petit Pain and White Crusty Roll are available at just 29p each.

Lidl’s No.1 Bakery accolade lands amid the retailer’s continued popularity on Tiktok where shoppers are flocking to share ‘hauls’ of the bakery section, with some going so far as to say that the Lidl bakery has ‘changed their life forever‘, tastes better than my mum’s cooking‘ and ‘always makes my day‘.

In March 2025, Google searches for ‘Lidl bakery’ increased by 31%, with consumers clearly hungry for more, and this new announcement sees the retailer deliver on value with fan favourite products.

Lidl’s full range of bakery products is available to shop in stores nationwide now.
