LEON UNVEILS JANUARY MENU AS NATURALLY FAST FOOD BRAND BEGINS FULL REBUILD

LEON is kicking off 2026 with a renewed focus on what made the brand a household name in the first place: seasonal cooking, thoughtfully sourced natural ingredients and bold flavour without compromise. As part of its mission to rebuild LEON into the Earth’s favourite Naturally Fast Food, the new January specials mark the first step in a wider transformation set to unfold this spring.

While the biggest changes are still to come, LEON wasn’t about to let January pass without meaningful progress. The latest menu showcases improved favourites and the beginnings of thoughtful innovation, setting the tone for a new era of naturally fast food.

A refined breakfast debut: Salmon Smörgås-Box

One of the standout newcomers is the Salmon Smörgås-Box, a breakfast option inspired by Scandinavian simplicity and premium British produce. It features PGI-status London Cure Smoked Salmon – the only smoked salmon in the world with protected designation status. Smoked in East London by the world’s oldest smoked salmon producer using whole oak logs, it delivers a cleaner, more sustainable flavour.

Served with two perfectly poached eggs, smashed avocado and fresh spinach, the dish is finished with extra virgin olive oil and a seven-seed mix. Not only is it a refined way to start the day, it’s also rich in omega-3 fatty acids (EPA & DHA), protein, and vitamins B12 and D, supporting both heart and brain health. Wellness-led flavour with Banana & Turmeric Honey Granola

Designed with wellbeing in mind, LEON’s Banana & Turmeric Honey Granola brings together flavour and function. This gluten-free breakfast pot layers turmeric, honey, sliced banana, nutty granola and probiotic yoghurt, before being finished with bee pollen.

Each ingredient has been carefully chosen for its taste and nutritional benefits, tapping into the growing demand for food that supports everyday health without sacrificing indulgence. It’s a welcome addition for anyone seeking a lighter, nourishing start to their morning.

A classic reborn: Lentil Masala

A much-loved LEON favourite, Lentil Masala, returns this January refreshed and refined with a distinct chef’s touch. The rich vegan curry combines lentils and coconut milk, gently spiced with cumin, ginger and mustard seeds, and is served with wholesome brown rice.

Comforting, deeply satisfying and naturally nourishing, the dish represents the rebirth of a classic. From now until April, LEON will continue reintroducing fan favourites that have been reworked to meet modern tastes, as part of its journey back to what it once was – and what it should always be.

A taste of spring: Morello Cherry Iced Matcha Latte

To bring a sense of spring optimism to the depths of winter, LEON has also launched the Morello Cherry Iced Matcha Latte. Made with ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha and paired with vibrant Morello cherry coulis, it’s served over ice with your milk of choice, including oat, coconut, soy or dairy.

Handled with care to preserve flavour and quality, the drink offers a cleaner, brighter taste that balances freshness with indulgence.

A new era for LEON begins

Following the return of founder John Vincent, LEON will officially enter a new era this April. More than a simple menu refresh, the relaunch represents a full-scale rebirth of the brand, reconnecting with the food that originally defined LEON while introducing a new wave of bold, creative dishes.

Founded in 2004 by John Vincent, Allegra McEvedy and Henry Dimbleby, LEON created the category of Naturally Fast Food – food that tastes good, does you good and is kind to the planet. The brand has long championed seasonal, Mediterranean-inspired cooking and was the first to display nutritional symbols on its menus. The January Menu launches on January 14th at all LEON restaurants and will be available for eat-in, takeaway, click & collect and delivery nationwide.
