LaLiga Collab with EA Sports

LaLiga is a very popular Spanish football league which has some of the greatest players and teams from around the world. Spanish LaLiga, the Spanish Premier League recently collaborated with the video game company Electronic Arts (EA). The two parties have agreed on a five-year title sponsorship partnership that covers two divisions. The first tier will be known as LaLiga EA Sports, while the second tier will be known as La Liga Hypermotion.

The video game giant is the first international partner to title sponsor the Spanish Premier League. This alliance will improve a connection that has been going on for more than 20 years. As a result of the new deal, EA Sports will be extending its current, close association with the league by putting its name on all the contests it manages. The annual value of the relationship will exceed 30 million euros. Additionally, Gen Z football fans are likely to find the relationship more appealing. This possibility will be made available by the EA Sports platform, and LaLiga will give its global reach.

How it Will Work

This collaboration with EA Sports has been seen as a way to rebrand LaLiga. The rebrand means that there will be an inclusion of EA Sports in its logos, fonts, graphics and other elements. There’s already been a special event in Madrid in July 2023 where LaLiga rolled out a new visual brand identity which swapped the prominent multicoloured wheel that has been on the organisation’s logo for more than 20 years.

LaLiga’s Other Partnerships

LaLiga has been strategically forming multiple partners with international brands such as Puma, Microsoft, and BKT. It also formed several partnerships with local and regional sponsors. Up to 2023, the Spanish top tier has generated more than 170 million euros in Commercial Revenue.

Ahead of the current season, LaLiga also announced that they would be partnering with the e-commerce company and digital sports platform, Fanatics, to launch an official online store.

As LaLiga also looks forward to new and fresh vibes, they’ve also taken a further step of styling their mobile app and offering a more personalised experience for its users.

How Partnerships have contributed to the growth of LaLiga

One of LaLiga’s objectives is to support the growth of football at the global and local levels. They have been working on an initiative called internationalisation since 2016. In order to achieve this goal, LaLiga has been establishing multiple strategic partnerships all over the world to export the LaLiga coaching methodology. So far, LaLiga has had more than 300 projects across 30 countries. In these projects, they’ve sent out more than 600 coaches with the goal of promoting football.

Most of the collaborations and partnerships that LaLiga set up with commercial brands assist in sponsoring their initial program. The La Liga initiatives and sponsorships have also driven the popularity of LaLiga worldwide.
