KUNG FU MAMA BRINGS TAIWANESE SUN-DRIED NOODLES TO CANARY WHARF

London’s favourite modern Taiwanese kitchen, Kung Fu Mama, is set to open its latest noodle bar at Jubilee Place, Canary Wharf on 20 March 2026, offering its signature sun-dried noodles and bold street food flavours to a new audience.

Following its successful launch in Covent Garden in April 2025, Kung Fu Mama is marking the Canary Wharf opening with a special promotion: 50% off the entire menu from 20–27 March via an exclusive access code — giving local residents and office workers the perfect opportunity to explore one of London’s most exciting Taiwanese kitchens.

A Menu Full of Bold, Nutrient-Dense Flavours

At the heart of Kung Fu Mama’s offering are its signature sun-dried noodles, hand-folded using a traditional method that creates a firm, springy texture. The menu balances bold Taiwanese flavours with nutrient-conscious cooking: proteins are oven-baked, extra-virgin olive oil replaces seed oils, and salt, sugar, and fat are carefully moderated — delivering comfort food without compromise.

Signature dishes include:

  • Noodle Bowls: Peanut & Sesame Chicken, Chicken with Ginger & Sesame, 12hrs Beef with Szechuan Pepper, Portobello Mushroom with Romano Pepper, Traditional Beef Noodle Soup

  • Bao Sandwiches: Oven-Baked Chicken Bao, Ginger & Sesame Chicken Bao, Soft-Shell Crab Bao

  • Sides & Salads: Mixed Greens, Cucumber Salad, Wood-Ear Mushroom Salad

  • Desserts: Taiwanese night market favourites like Mango Shaved Ice Cream and Pineapple Pie

Founders on the Canary Wharf Launch

Noam Bar-Chang says: “Opening in Canary Wharf feels like an exciting next step for us. Chris and I set out to create food that is high-quality, nutrient-dense, joyful and full of character — dishes we’d happily serve to our own families — and we’re proud to see this vision resonating with Londoners.”

Chris Hsu adds: “We’ve seen how much Londoners have embraced our sun-dried noodles, and bringing the restaurant to Canary Wharf gives even more people the chance to experience them fresh from the kitchen.”

A Playful, Design-Led Space

The new Canary Wharf restaurant continues Kung Fu Mama’s playful, design-led aesthetic, featuring a custom font by Scott Wittman and a bespoke mural that traces Chris Hsu’s Taiwanese culinary heritage — a visual identity that mirrors the brand’s contemporary spirit.
