IKEA LAUNCHES NEW STUDENT ESSENTIALS BOX

IKEA has announced the launch of its brand new Student Essentials Box, featuring 16 items to help make preparing for university that little bit easier. Packed into one handy SAMLA storage container, the Student Essentials box is available for £48.50. From cookware and cutlery to colanders and can openers, the Student Essentials Box makes sure new and returning students are fully equipped when arriving at their new accommodation.

The box includes the GNARP 3-piece kitchen utensil set, TAGGHAJ frying pan and ANNONS pot with lid, for students to whip up their favourite home-cooked meals – whether it’s a quick pasta dish or a much needed fry up.

With essentials like crockery and glassware covered, the box also features those smaller, handy items that are often forgotten. The freezer safe, reusable ISTAD bags are ideal for storing left over food – keeping it fresh for longer to prevent food waste and great for saving pennies. The box also includes products from the UPPFYLLD range, including the UPPFYLLD colander, UPPFYLLD potato peeler and UPPFYLLD can opener.

Supporting the student box launch, IKEA is offering each student £10 off £75 spent in one transaction from the 7th August to the 1st October. With reports of British Universities organising trips to IKEA for freshers’ week, during this time, IKEA is also helping students by offering 10% off Hertz 24/7 van hire for students and parents at IKEA stores between 1st August and 31st October – so that transporting furniture purchased from IKEA to a new home is made easy!
