Swedish electronic music powerhouse Galantis has officially kicked off a new chapter with the release of his latest single ‘Do You Mind’, while simultaneously announcing his upcoming EP, The Devil’s Tax Return: Volume 1, arriving on 16 October 2026.
Released via Counter Records, the new track follows May’s ‘Stay Alive’ and offers fans another glimpse into a project that sees Christian Karlsson revisiting some of the songs that shaped his musical journey. The announcement was made alongside the release of the single on 2 July.

Galantis Reimagines a UK Dance Classic
Rather than creating an entirely original composition, ‘Do You Mind’ lovingly reworks the 2007 UK bassline and R&B hit by Paleface featuring Kyla.
The song became a defining club anthem after Crazy Cousinz released their iconic remix in 2009 before reaching worldwide audiences through Drake‘s global smash One Dance.
Instead of radically changing the original, Christian Karlsson chose to preserve its emotional core while rebuilding the production around Kyla’s instantly recognisable vocals.
Speaking about the release, Karlsson said:
“Some records feel untouchable because they already captured a moment so perfectly. Instead of trying to completely reinvent it, I wanted to celebrate what made it so special while giving it a new life.”
The Devil’s Tax Return: Volume 1 Arrives This October
The upcoming six-track EP marks a fresh creative direction for Galantis.
Rather than simply remixing classics, Karlsson has rebuilt songs that inspired him during the early days of Miike Snow, transforming them into entirely new electronic productions.
The EP will include reinterpretations of songs originally performed by artists including:
- Frankie Valli
- The Killers
- Feist
- The War on Drugs
Tracklist
- Stay Alive
- Do You Mind
- Can’t Take My Eyes Off You
- When You Were Young
- 1234
- Red Eyes
