Soho seafood favourite The Seafood Bar is marking World Tuna Day (2nd May) by spotlighting special edition dishes that showcase the best of its tuna creations – from tartare to tataki. The limited-time menu runs from 2nd to 11th May, bringing together the fresh flavours, premium seafood, and expert preparation the restaurant is internationally renowned for.
Housed in the striking Georgian townhouse on Dean Street, The Seafood Bar has quickly earned a reputation as one of London’s leading seafood destinations. Founded by the de Visscher family, former fishmongers with decades of expertise, freshness and quality are paramount, with the restaurant ensuring sustainably sourced fish and shellfish are delivered daily – and the simple yet flavourful dishes allow the seafood itself to shine.
The Seafood Bar will be serving up delicious tuna-based dishes for World Tuna Day, with highlights including the Tuna Tartare (served with soy-cured egg yolk, pickled cucumber, avocado, sriracha dressing, wasabi mayo, and nori powder), the Tuna Tataki (served on wakame with a soy-ginger and sesame glaze), and the Sesame-crusted Tuna Loin Steak (with citrus miso glaze, tempura asparagus, crispy vermicelli and nori hollandaise). The dishes can be complemented by a refreshing cocktail or crisp glass of champagne from the restaurant’s extensive drinks menu, with the perfect pairing for your selection just an order away.
Of course, the restaurant’s signature menu will continue to be served alongside the tuna specials. Highlights include the towering Fruits de Mer platter, lobster soup, and hot steaming bowls of mussels. The seafood-focused dishes are generous, seasonal, and designed for sharing – ideal for turning a tuna tasting into a full feast.
The special World Tuna Day menu will be available from 2nd to 11th May at The Seafood Bar, 77 Dean St, London W1D 3SH. Find out more and make your booking right here.
