British luxury retailer Fortnum & Mason is taking its iconic picnic tradition to the water this summer with the launch of Fortnum’s on Thames, a new private luxury boating experience set against the backdrop of the River Thames in Henley-on-Thames.
For the first time in the brand’s history, guests will be able to enjoy Fortnum & Mason’s signature picnics aboard a beautifully restored vintage boat during the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta and the renowned Henley Festival.
A Quintessentially British Summer Experience
Hosted aboard Christobel, a charming vintage vessel dressed in Fortnum’s unmistakable Eau de Nil colour palette and bespoke striped interiors by design house Colours of Arley, the experience offers guests a unique way to enjoy one of Britain’s most celebrated summer destinations.
Each two-hour private charter cruises through the scenic waterways of Henley-on-Thames while guests relax with a luxury Fortnum’s picnic, chilled Champagne and attentive service from the brand’s famous Red Coats.
The exclusive experience combines riverside elegance with the timeless appeal of a traditional British picnic, creating one of the most unique luxury experiences available during the summer social season.
What’s Included in the Fortnum’s on Thames Picnic?
Available for private groups of four, six or eight guests, every charter includes one of Fortnum & Mason’s carefully curated fresh food picnics, presented in a keepsake Fortnum’s picnic bag.
The menu celebrates seasonal British produce and includes:
