Epic Games, Disney and Lucasfilm launch an immersive new Star Wars experience inside Fortnite ahead of The Mandalorian & Grogu hitting cinemas this May.
Fans of Fortnite and Star Wars can now jump into the newly launched The Mandalorian & Grogu Watch Party Island, an interactive in-game experience that blends cinematic storytelling with multiplayer gameplay.
Created through a collaboration between Epic Games, Disney and Lucasfilm, the island gives players the chance to explore iconic locations inspired by the upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu movie before its theatrical debut on May 22.

The new experience allows players to step directly into the world of The Mandalorian & Grogu, including access to an exclusive 10-minute sneak peek from the upcoming film. Players will also hear a special message from director Jon Favreau.
Built by Favreau’s creative storytelling studio Fairview Portals alongside Beyond Creative, the island recreates environments from the Disney+ series and upcoming movie with impressive detail using Fortnite’s official Star Wars toolkit.
Explore Nevarro and Take on New Missions
Players visiting the island can:
- Explore Nevarro’s city streets and Imperial safehouses
- Meet returning fan-favourite characters
- Spend time alongside Grogu
- Accept quests from Marshal IG-11
- Compete in 1v1 and 2v2 battles
- Build a speeder bike during an Imperial attack scenario
The collaboration continues the growing partnership between Disney and Epic Games, expanding Fortnite beyond traditional gaming into interactive entertainment experiences inspired by blockbuster franchises.
Exclusive Rewards and New Fortnite Cosmetics
Players who spend at least 20 minutes inside the island experience will unlock the exclusive Mandalorian Sanctuary Loading Screen, which features official concept art from the film.
Meanwhile, the new Mandalorian Pen & Ink Outfit arrives in the Fortnite Item Shop from May 21.
Jon Favreau Q&A Event Coming May 26
Fans can also return to the island’s amphitheatre on May 26 to watch Jon Favreau answer questions submitted by the Fortnite community about both the film and the creation of the Watch Party Island itself.
The event offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at how the crossover between Fortnite and Star Wars was developed.
