EXPERIENCE NATURE LIKE NEVER BEFORE AT FRAMELESS LONDON WITH SOL BOUND I

As urban life pulls us further from the natural world, our sense of “nature connectedness”—the emotional and psychological bond we feel with the environment—is declining, contributing to what scientists call the “extinction of experience.” Opportunities to feel grounded, attentive, and connected to nature are becoming increasingly rare.

This February, FRAMLESS London offers a chance to reclaim that connection with its latest immersive residency, Sol Bound I, a mesmerising new artwork by Oslo-based artist Reuko, accompanied by an original soundscape from Welsh composer Alex Mills. Created in collaboration with immersive art platform Artdott, the experience invites audiences to step inside expansive landscapes and reconnect with the hidden energies of the natural world.

Step Into a Living Landscape

Opening on 27th February 2026 in FRAMELESS’ fifth Blank Canvas Gallery, Sol Bound I offers visitors a space to slow down, reconnect with their senses, and explore humanity’s relationship with the elemental world.

The work presents a nomadic journey through forests, coastlines, rivers, and vast landscapes, revealing moments of calm, clarity, and renewal. Reuko filmed these natural wonders firsthand using drones in often challenging terrains, then layered the footage with particle simulations to create a visual language that traces the invisible forces flowing through ecosystems, weather systems, and terrain.

As landscapes shift and seasons change, subtle traces of human presence emerge, reflecting the shared relationship between humanity and nature. The immersive environment encourages visitors to return and experience it from multiple perspectives, creating a continuously evolving dialogue with the natural world.

A Soundscape That Mirrors the Visual Journey

Composer Alex Mills’ original score responds intuitively to Reuko’s imagery, blending synths, strings, piano motifs, and wordless voices with natural sounds like glacier caves, rushing water, and wind through leaves. The music unfolds as a living current, building from meditative hushes to radiant crescendos, perfectly complementing the visual journey and inviting audiences to reconnect with their breath, environment, and the shared energy that binds us to nature.

Through the scale of FRAMELESS’ award-winning galleries, combined with the luminous, emotive visuals and soundscape, Sol Bound I offers a new way of experiencing nature—not as something observed from a distance, but as something deeply felt.

Artist Vision

Reuko shared, “Sol Bound I was born from a desire to slow down and listen to the landscapes around us; their breath, their rhythms, their energy. As our connection with nature continues to fade, we risk losing not just places, but the feelings of grounding and presence that come from being immersed in the natural world. Bringing it to FRAMELESS allows audiences to step inside these living landscapes and experience that sense of connection in a deeper way.”
