Eni Aluko stars in latest episode of BT’s educational content series

 

As part of BT’s celebration of Black British History, Hope United squad member Eni Aluko stars in the second episode of the educational content series which shines a light on football’s Black pioneers.

In the episode, the former Lioness and WSL player shares her passion for football’s Black trailblazers Emma Clarke and Laurie Cunningham, the first Black football player to represent England in a competitive international match. The episode encourages viewers to visit Nubian JakCommunity Trust – the only commemorative plaque and sculpture scheme focussed on commemorating contributions of Black and minority ethnic people in Britain.

Fellow Hope United squad members Rio and Anton Ferdinand featured in the first episode of the series (embed included below) in which the footballing brothers discuss the documentary;Standing Firm: Football’s Windrush Story which is available to watch for free via the BT Sport website and App. Manchester United footballer and author Marcus Rashford will appear in the final episode later this week, sharing recommendations and a carefully curated list of books to help young people discover more about black history and culture.
