London was the place to be last night as 20th Century Studios hosted the UK Special Screening of Predator: Badlands at the BFI IMAX, welcoming a star-studded guest list including Elle Fanning, Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, and director Dan Trachtenberg. Producers Ben Rosenblatt and Brent O’Connor were also in attendance, celebrating the film’s highly anticipated release in cinemas this November.
The latest addition to the iconic Predator franchise, Predator: Badlands takes the saga in a bold new direction. Set on a remote planet in the distant future, the story follows a young Predator exiled from his clan who forges an unexpected alliance with Thia (played by Elle Fanning). Together, they embark on a perilous journey across the harsh alien landscape in search of the ultimate adversary.
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg — best known for his work on 10 Cloverfield Lane and Prey — and produced by John Davis, Marc Toberoff, Rosenblatt, and O’Connor, the film promises to blend heart-pounding action with a surprising emotional depth.
“Predator: Badlands pushes the mythology forward while returning to the primal intensity that made the original so unforgettable,” said Trachtenberg at the premiere.
The film hits UK cinemas on 7 November, and with its fresh setting, stellar cast, and visionary direction, it’s shaping up to be one of this autumn’s must-see sci-fi thrillers.
