Disney Junior Cinema Club is heading back to cinemas this October with an interactive big-screen experience featuring Mickey Mouse, Sofia the First, Iron Man and more.
If keeping little ones entertained during a trip to the cinema sounds like a challenge, Disney is changing the rules this October with Disney Junior Cinema Club, a new interactive cinema experience designed to get preschoolers and their families up, dancing and joining in.
The special cinema event will take place across participating cinemas in the UK and Ireland from Saturday 24 October to Saturday 31 October 2026, bringing together popular Disney Junior stories with brand-new hosted sequences filmed at Disneyland Paris.
Designed specifically for children aged 2–6, alongside their siblings, parents and carers, Disney Junior Cinema Club promises to turn a traditional cinema trip into a giant Disney playdate.
A Disneyland Paris Adventure Comes to the Big Screen
The new Disney Junior Cinema Club experience features two live-action hosts, Joe and Bex, who will guide audiences through a brand-new adventure filmed at Disneyland Paris.
Rather than simply sitting back and watching the screen, children will be encouraged to take part throughout the experience, with plenty of opportunities to sing, dance, move and play along.
The interactive adventure includes dancing, games, superhero training, singing and even a royal treasure hunt.
Young Disney fans will be invited to learn new dance moves, practise their best superhero poses, search for clues and join in with the action as the hosts work their way through the ultimate Disney Junior playdate.
And, importantly, grown-ups aren’t left on the sidelines. Parents, carers and other family members are encouraged to join in with the fun too.
The Disneyland Paris setting adds another layer of Disney magic to the experience, bringing the atmosphere of the famous resort to cinema screens across the UK and Ireland.
Which Disney Junior Shows Are Included?
The Disney Junior Cinema Club line-up brings together several familiar Disney stories, with each one becoming part of the wider interactive playdate adventure.
Audiences can expect:
- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+
- Minnie’s Bow-Toons: Pet Hotel
- Sofia the First: Royal Magic
- Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends
- Toy Story Toons
That means there’s plenty for young Disney fans to recognise, from Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse to Sofia the First, Marvel superheroes and the characters of Toy Story.
According to Disney, the stories are woven into the wider hosted experience, giving children opportunities to interact with their favourite characters rather than simply watching a collection of episodes.
Disney’s official Disney Junior Cinema Club page describes the experience as a combination of favourite Disney Junior stories, sing-alongs, dance moments, games and surprises, with audience participation forming a central part of the event.
What Is Disney Junior Cinema Club?
Disney Junior Cinema Club is an interactive, ticketed cinema experience created for preschoolers and their families.
The concept is designed to make the cinema itself part of the entertainment, encouraging children to sing, dance and respond to what’s happening on screen.
This year’s event also marks the first time that families can follow Joe and Bex through a brand-new adventure filmed around Disneyland Paris.
The result is less of a conventional cinema screening and more of a big-screen Disney party, with children encouraged to participate from the opening moments through to the end.
Disney Junior has increasingly focused on creating experiences that can be enjoyed by young children alongside their grown-ups, and the Cinema Club format is built around exactly that idea.
Disney Wants Families to Create Memories Together
Lee Jury, Senior Vice President of Marketing at The Walt Disney Company EMEA, said the new experience is intended to make a cinema visit something families can actively enjoy together.
“The most memorable moments are made when families can share in the fun together.”
Jury added that the new Disney Junior Cinema Club experience combines singing, dancing, games and familiar Disney Junior characters with a new hosted adventure filmed at Disneyland Paris.
The event is therefore designed not only around the children watching their favourite characters, but also around parents and carers becoming part of the experience.
