Chop Chop Joins Forces with Dudu Eats for Fiery Supper Club at The Hippodrome

Spice takes the spotlight this summer as award-winning Cantonese restaurant Chop Chop teams up with rising culinary star Romany Henry, better known as Dudu Eats, for an exclusive one-night-only supper club. Taking place on Tuesday 17th June at the Hippodrome, the event promises a bold three-course menu built around heat, heritage, and flavour.

Bringing together two flavour-forward powerhouses, this unique collaboration is a celebration of culture and craft. The fiery fusion sees Romany’s signature slow-infused chilli oils meet the punchy precision of Chop Chop’s Cantonese classics, with a shared menu that blends Thai influence and Cantonese technique into something seriously special.

Romany Henry, the force behind Dudu Eats, was born in Hong Kong and raised in Phuket, a background that infuses every jar of her now-cult chilli oils. What began as a family project with her mum has grown into a brand beloved for its depth, balance, and authenticity. Each oil is made with Thai herbs and time-honoured methods, inspired by the family’s own recipes, designed more as an aromatic seasoning than condiment, and shaped to transform whatever they touch.

On the night, lucky guests can expect a trio of delicate dumplings to start (Har Gow, Siu Mai, and Prawn & Chive), before diving into a sharing feast of delicious salt and pepper tofu, Cantonese-style roast duck, silky beef ho fun, steamed seabass with ginger and spring onion, soya chicken, and morning glory with chilli and fermented bean curd – all served with freshly steamed rice, and completed with a dessert of classic custard buns. Diners will pair each bite with Dudu’s hero products, the Master Chilli Oil for a a sweet-savoury richness, and the Thai Chilli Oil for bold, herbaceous boost.

Chop Chop at the Hippodrome has long been one of the capital’s best-kept secrets. Located on the lower ground floor of the Hippodrome Casino, this contemporary Cantonese kitchen has earned accolades including TripAdvisor’s Hidden Gem award and The Golden Future Award at The Golden Chopstick Awards 2024. With its focus on expertly executed dishes, authentic flavours and standout ingredients, it’s the perfect match for Dudu’s small-batch heat.

The supper club will take place at Chop Chop at the Hippodrome at Cranbourn Street, Leicester Square, London WC2H 7JH, on Tuesday 17th June at 6:30pm. Tickets are £50, and include a three-course meal along with jasmine tea and a jar of Dudu Chilli Oil to take home. Book your exclusive place right here.
