CHAMPION UNVEILS “A STUDY OF EXPRESSION” YOUTH CAMPAIGN ACROSS MILAN, BERLIN AND LIVERPOOL

Champion has officially launched the first chapter of its new youth-focused campaign, “A Study of Expression” — a multi-city creative project spotlighting how a new generation is redefining culture through raw, unfiltered self-expression and community.

Spanning cultural hotspots including Milan, Berlin and Liverpool, the campaign captures youth identity in its most instinctive form — grounded, spontaneous and deeply connected to everyday life.

A Milan Skate Collective Leads The First Chapter

The opening chapter is set in Milan, where Champion follows a local skate collective navigating the city’s streets. The result is an intimate look at how sport, style and daily life intersect — not as separate identities, but as one fluid experience.

Rather than staging moments, the campaign leans into authenticity, documenting real interactions and movements as they unfold. The narrative doesn’t try to control the scene — it simply observes it.

Shot Through An Unfiltered Lens

The campaign is captured by photographer Robbie McIntosh, known for rejecting overly polished visuals in favour of something more immediate and honest.

His approach embraces imperfection: fleeting glances, pauses, and passers-by drifting in and out of frame. The result is a series that feels organic and instinctive — mirroring the unpredictability of youth culture itself.

Champion’s Heritage Meets Modern Expression

Throughout the series, Champion’s iconic Reverse Weave and C-Sport collections are subtly integrated into each scene. From hoodies pulled up against the cold to relaxed tracksuit bottoms worn effortlessly on the street, the clothing complements the moment rather than defining it.

It’s a deliberate shift away from traditional fashion storytelling. Here, the focus isn’t on the garments — it’s on the people wearing them and the stories they carry.

A Wider Movement Of Youth-led Creativity

“A Study of Expression” signals Champion’s broader commitment to championing (literally and culturally) the voices shaping today’s creative landscape. By focusing on real communities across Europe, the campaign reflects a growing shift in fashion — one that prioritises authenticity over perfection.

As the project expands to Berlin and Liverpool, it promises to continue documenting the unique rhythms and identities that define youth culture across different cities.
