BARBS LAUNCHES BAJAN-INSPIRED VALENTINE’S DAY MENU AT QUEEN OF HOXTON

London’s food scene is getting a Caribbean-flavoured love letter this Valentine’s Day as BARBS, the UK’s first authentic Bajan fast-casual restaurant, unveils a special menu at Queen of Hoxton in Shoreditch.

Available for both dine-in and at-home feasting, the limited-time Valentine’s offering brings together BARBS’ signature bold flavours, generous portions and laid-back hospitality — with a complimentary Mount Gay rum cocktail for guests dining in on the day.

Operating from the ground floor of one of East London’s most recognisable nightlife destinations, BARBS continues to spotlight Barbadian food culture, blending traditional techniques with a modern, casual dining experience.

A Valentine’s Menu Rooted in Bajan Tradition

The Valentine’s Day menu showcases classic Barbadian favourites, prepared using family recipes and traditional methods, designed for sharing, lingering and indulging.

Valentine’s Day Specials include:

  • Bajan Fried Fish (£23.95)
Crispy fried coley fillet seasoned the BARBS way, served with peas and rice, coleslaw, plantain and gravy.

  • Bajan Fried Chicken (£21.95)
Crispy fried leg and thigh, seasoned the BARBS way, with peas and rice, coleslaw, plantain and gravy.

  • Chicken Curry (£22.50)
A comforting Caribbean classic served with peas and rice, coleslaw and plantain.

  • Chickpea Curry (£19.50)
A rich, plant-based option served with peas and rice, coleslaw and plantain.

  • Something Sweet (£8)
Fried doughnuts served with chocolate dipping sauce and fresh berries.

Each dish balances comfort with indulgence, staying true to BARBS’ focus on food that’s meant to be shared.

£40 Valentine’s Sharing Bundle for At-Home Dining

For those planning a cosy night in, BARBS is also offering a £40 Valentine’s sharing bundle, available via online delivery channels. The bundle includes:

Perfect for couples who want restaurant-quality Caribbean food without leaving the sofa.

Dining, DJs & Late-Night Vibes at Queen of Hoxton

The Valentine’s menu sits alongside BARBS’ core menu, all made from scratch using the brand’s own recipes. Located on the ground floor of Queen of Hoxton, the restaurant naturally transitions into the venue’s late-night programming.

Guests dining in are welcome to stay on after their meal and enjoy DJ sets and nightlife from around 9pm, making it an ideal Valentine’s destination for those who want dinner and dancing.
