AYRA STARR AND REMA JOIN FORCES FOR EXPLOSIVE NEW SINGLE “WHO’S DAT GIRL”

GRAMMY-nominated and double MOBO Award-winning Afrobeats superstar Ayra Starr has teamed up with fellow Nigerian hitmaker Rema to release one of 2025’s hottest Afro-dance records — “Who’s Dat Girl”, out now via Mavin Records.

Produced by Ragee with additional production by The Elements, “Who’s Dat Girl” blends Ayra Starr’s signature “It Girl” energy with a dynamic mix of dancehall, R&B, and Middle Eastern rhythms. The chemistry between Ayra Starr and Rema shines through as they trade infectious verses, reminding fans why both artists are at the forefront of Afrobeats’ global domination.

The track follows their surprise joint performance at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City, which became one of the most talked-about moments of the night — a preview of the undeniable synergy now captured on record.

A Record-Breaking Year for Ayra Starr

2025 has been monumental for Ayra Starr. Following her viral summer singles “Gimme Dat” featuring Wizkid and “Hot Body”, she was crowned Spotify’s Top Female Afrobeats Artist of 2025. “Hot Body” racked up over 35 million global streams, became a viral TikTok hit — even catching the attention of Cardi B and Kim Kardashian — and peaked at No. 2 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart.

With over 3 billion streams and 1 billion YouTube views, Ayra Starr continues to redefine what it means to be a global African artist. Earlier this year, she made history by becoming the first African female artist to have two songs surpass 500 million Spotify plays, including her global smash “Rush”.

She also won two MOBO Awards, including Best African Music Act — the first woman in 16 years to do so — and claimed her first BET Award for Best International Act. In fashion, she made her Met Gala debut alongside designer Ozwald Boateng and was featured in The Business of Fashion’s BoF 500 list, recognizing her influence on global style.

From Global Citizen to Hollywood

Ayra Starr’s recent Global Citizen Festival performance showcased not only her captivating stage presence but also her commitment to activism. During her set, she spoke passionately about the need to generate power for over one million African children, further cementing her role as the voice of African Gen Z.

Looking ahead, Ayra is set to make her Hollywood debut in the upcoming film adaptation of Children of Blood and Bone, starring Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, and Lashana Lynch — another major milestone for the Afrobeats star.

“Who’s Dat Girl” is now streaming on all major platforms.
