AFRO NATION NIGERIA REVEALS 2023 FESTIVAL DATES FOR HISTORIC NIGERIA DEBUT

With over four years of landmark festival memories taking place across the globe, cultural phenomenon, Afro Nation, finally makes its long-awaited debut in the home of Afrobeats this December – heading to Lagos, Nigeria. Announcing dates and first ticket details today, it’s set to be an Afro Nation that sits as a moment that signifies its importance in modern culture.

Taking place between 19th-20th December, Afro Nation Nigeria promises to be an extraordinary celebration of a movement that has come to define popular music culture worldwide. Uniting the diaspora in the birthplace of Afrobeats, Afro Nation Nigeria will have its inaugural event in the historic Tafawa Balewa Square. This location is renowned for hosting pivotal moments in Nigerian history, including the celebrations of Nigeria’s first Independence Day in 1960.

After years of demand, Afro Nation finally comes home to Nigeria, primed to be the party of the year as over 30,000 people join together for a truly unforgettable weekend.

Speaking about Afro Nation Nigeria and its long-awaited homecoming in Lagos, Afro Nation Co-Founder SMADE said: “We are beyond excited to be bringing Afro Nation to Nigeria. Nigeria is the home to a lot of international Afrobeats superstars who have made Afrobeats a globally loved genre. It is truly a full circle moment having done shows in Portugal, Ghana, Puerto Rico, Miami and Detroit to now bring the show to Lagos, Nigeria. Also with the community and economic impact, Afro Nation is like no other shows with a festival community from over 140 countries. The combination of the music, food, dance, fashion, beautiful people and African cultures coming together make it a unique experience.
