ABBEY IN BLOOM AFTERNOON TEA ARRIVES AT CELLARIUM CAFÉ & TERRACE BENEATH WESTMINSTER ABBEY

Set deep beneath one of London’s most historic landmarks, a new seasonal dining experience is bringing together heritage, elegance, and modern British cuisine.

The Cellarium Café & Terrace, located within the medieval undercroft of Westminster Abbey, has launched its “Abbey in Bloom Afternoon Tea”, a summer offering that blends centuries of history with refined seasonal dining. Available throughout the summer alongside a full à la carte menu, the experience is set in one of the capital’s most atmospheric settings.

A Historic Setting Beneath Westminster Abbey

Housed beneath a soaring glass ceiling and framed by ancient stonework, the Cellarium Café & Terrace occupies a space that once formed part of the Abbey’s 14th-century infrastructure. Historically used by Benedictine monks to store food and drink, the Cellarium continues its legacy of hospitality in a contemporary setting.

Today, every visit contributes to the ongoing preservation and work of Westminster Abbey, one of the UK’s most significant UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Guests can learn more about the Abbey’s history and visitor information via the official site: https://www.westminster-abbey.org
