XI HOME LAUNCHES LIMITED WHISKY COCKTAILS AND HAGGIS DUMPLINGS FOR BURN’S NIGHT

Did somebody say haggis dumplings? In celebration of Burn’s Night (25th January 2025), XI Home Dumplings Bay, the dumpling hotspot on Blossom St London E1, is launching haggis special and a menu of innovative whisky cocktails, running 4th January to 28th February.

The delicious Haggis Dumplings come in 5 pieces for £11.80. Soft doughy dumpling shells are encased in the sweet and salty meat filling, synonymous with Burn’s Night and all things Scottish.

Alongside the dumplings, a limited five-part cocktail range consists of classics with special twists, masterminded by the XI Home team. Fortune High (whiskey highball) is perfect for those that enjoy a refreshing long cocktail, and features whisky, soda and Toki milk punch to balance the sharpness of the spirit. The cocktail pairs wonderfully with Dan Dan Spicy Noodles, as well as steamed chicken with chilli sauce.

Fortune Fizz is a clever twist on the classic French 75. With Glenmoray cognac, lemon cordial and prosecco, this citrusy tipple is certain to tickle the taste buds, and pairs well with XI Home’s special handmade open mouth king prawn dumplings, or cuttlefish dumplings.

The Zest (a take on a Penicillin) gets a healthy kick and warmth from ginger liqueur, making for a fresh and fiery cocktail. Made with Johnny Walker Black, ginger liqueur and yuzu shu, this cocktail pairs well with sophisticated Jade lobster dumplings.

The Whispering Bloom uses Jasmine Tea to create a delicious Whiskey Sour cocktail. Jasmine tea is of Chinese origin, so pairs well with Asian-inspired foods. Made up of Maker’s Mark, and jasmine green tea cordial, this floral creation works well with meaty options like cold pig ear or sliced beef and ox in chilli sauce.

Finally, Amber Elixir (Bobby Burns) makes for the perfect sweet cocktail. Nostalgic flavours of Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa (a herbal medicine) balanced with the chocolate bitter makes for a decadent dessert-like drink. Made with Glenmoray, sweet vermouth, Benedictine D.O.M, Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa and Chocolate bitter, this treat pairs well with sauced pork ribs, pork with fennel and homemade duck rolls.

These delicious cocktails can be enjoyed with the recommended pairings, or with XI Home’s selection of dumplings, soups, rolls, buns, pancakes and plenty more. Book now for a Burn’s Night treat like no other, which can be celebrated right up until the end of February.
