Don’t Look Back in Anger if your brows have seen better days – the London Dungeon is summoning all hairy and lairy Oasis fans to come down and get their brows in shape for the band’s upcoming arrival in the capital.
The Mancunian legends are playing five sold-out London shows this summer and the London Dungeon has conjured up an extra-special experience to rid guests of their unruly brows, a notorious feature of the infamous Gallagher brothers.
Some Might Say bushy brows are unattractive, the Victorians certainly did. In Victorian times, it was believed eyebrows were indicative of beauty and character, making ungroomed eyebrows a sign of delinquency, a trait echoed 100 years later by the rogue Gallagher brothers.
Fear not, The London Dungeon’s ‘Gallagher Grooming Gauntlet’ will save guests from the curse of the unibrow. For one day only, 25th July – coinciding with the first night of Oasis’ London residency – our very own Dungeon dwellers will offer free tweezing, waxing, and threading services. Forget the nonsense about eyebrows being sisters, not twins, the London Dungeon will make those unruly brows look like they’ve been separated at birth.
Guests who haven’t been tortured enough during their visit can be tormented further with the opportunity to get rid of their ghastly overgrown unibrows and have them replaced by shaped and symmetrical brows that the highbrow Victorians would have admired.
A London Dungeon spokesperson said:
“Much like the whole city, we’ve got Oasis fever in anticipation of their London shows this summer and wanted to pay homage to the iconic brothers and their unique look from the 90s in a very London Dungeon fashion. We want to reassure our guests that our on-site beautician will be much gentler than Sweeney Todd and will be happy to help you get rid of those bushy brows and don a style the most sophisticated of Victorians would be proud of.”
The London Dungeon, which is situated on the capital’s South Bank, uncovers unsettling tales of London’s darkest past with interactive shows exploring spine-chilling historic characters including Jack the Ripper, Sweeney Todd, and Mrs Lovett herself.
